Legrand North America is seeking a highly skilled MDM Lead Architect who serves as the primary design lead for LNCA’s Master Data Management platform and the and a key enabler of scalable Data Governance through MDM platform capabilities. This role defines, implements, and governs enterprise master data architecture using Stibo Systems, and enables and integrates governance framework within MDM architecture and operationalized in alignment with LNCA enterprise data strategy, governance standards, and business outcomes.

 

This role will work closely with business, analytics, and integration teams to deliver scalable, high-performance data solutions that enable trusted, data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

What Will You Do?

 

A) MDM Architecture & Platform Leadership

  • Design and maintain enterprise MDM architecture, while maintaining and evolving canonical data models, hierarchies, and reference data patterns for mastered domains with a roadmap for additional domains
  • Serve as architectural authority for MDM integrations and lifecycle management across upstream/downstream platforms. Define integration patterns between MDM and ERP/CRM/eCommerce/analytics platforms; ensure consistent, scalable patterns and reusability
  • Review MDM enhancements for compliance with LNCA enterprise standards; identify design risks and required guardrails
  • Possess strong hands-on expertise in Stibo, Profisee or other leading SaaS MDM platforms, combined with strong client facing, leadership, and delivery skills
  • Guide development teams on API design, event-driven architecture, and integration patterns for multi domain data across manufacturing applications
  • Document and organize technical components including Tech Debts, Component Catalogs, System Contexts, and App-to-App Integrations
  • Define and scale multi-domain MDM architecture across Product, Customer, Supplier, and related domains including cross-domain relationships and ownership models
  • Design and implement match & merge, survivorship, and golden record strategies with measurable quality KPIs
  • Lead implementation of Stibo STEP capabilities including workflows, business rules, event processors, and data pipelines
  • Establish data enrichment, standardization, and classification strategies (e.g., UNSPSC)
  • Design and operationalize approval workflows, stewardship processes, and exception handling mechanisms
  • Ensure traceability through end-to-end data lineage including survivorship transparency
  • Lead performance optimization and scalability planning for large-volume, multi-domain MDM environments
  • Define testing, migration, and rollout strategies for enterprise MDM adoption
  • Support Agile delivery teams and lead continuous improvement in MDM maturity and platform scalability
  • Integrate MDM data models with enterprise glossary and metadata platforms to standardize meaning and context
  • Design and implement RBAC and access patterns aligned with enterprise security standards
  • Define and implement data quality frameworks, rules, and monitoring capabilities within MDM platform

B) Cross-Functional Enablement & Operating Model

  • Enable stewardship workflows and tools; partner with Data Stewards for adoption
  • Define scalable onboarding patterns for new domains including data models, workflows, and governance integration points
  • Ensure architectural alignment for data consistency and lineage across systems
  • Collaborate with other architects to ensure cross-application data consistency and alignment with master data governance standards
  • Support external data ingestion and syndication use cases (e.g., supplier feeds, eCommerce, partner ecosystems)
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear executive and business communication, drive alignment across IT and business teams
Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of experience designing enterprise MDM solutions, including data modeling and integration patterns, data governance, data architecture, or enterprise data management
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, match & merge, survivorship, and hierarchy management concepts
  • Experience working with Data Governance and Stewardship teams to implement governance policies and workflows
  • Experience integrating MDM with enterprise platforms (ERP, CRM, analytics) and supporting cross-system data flows
  • Experience enabling and integrating enterprise data governance frameworks within MDM platforms
  • Strong knowledge of metadata management, MDM, and data quality processes
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure preferred)

Preferred Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with Stibo Systems MDM (or comparable enterprise MDM platforms)
  • Experience supporting multi-domain or enterprise MDM programs and scaling governance practices across divisions and business units
  • Practical experience implementing governance capabilities (Unified Catalog, governance domains, data products, glossary, lineage, and health reporting)
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or distribution
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery models and enterprise architecture standards
