This role is part of Genius' team that helps sports leagues and teams boost performance on and off the field using cutting-edge tech, analytics, and visual insights.

The Role

We’re looking for a Match Lead to support live football and basketball operations. In this role, you’ll help run live games using Genius Sports technology, making sure tracking and event data is accurate and delivered on time.

You’ll lead Operators during live shifts, stay focused during game play, and give clear feedback to help improve our systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a group of Operators across 1–2 football games per shift.
  • Track and confirm key game events, including dead balls, stoppage time and similar moments.
  • Confirm teams, line-ups, players and player markings before and during games.
  • Stay focused during live ball situations and support accurate event data delivery.
  • Join post-game meetings and share clear feedback with Operators and Operations Managers.
  • Complete marking tasks that help improve the accuracy and design of our systems.
What You’ll Bring
  • Strong attention to detail, even in loud or distracting environments.
  • Good communication skills, especially when working under pressure.
  • Confidence making quick decisions during live events.
  • Ability to work well with remote colleagues and live operations teams.
  • Strong punctuality and reliability for shifts linked to live game schedules.
  • Good working knowledge of Google and Microsoft tools, especially Excel or Google Sheets.
  • A proactive, adaptable and accountable approach to sensitive business information.
  • 15-30 hours of availability each week. 
    *Each shift will last up to 6 hours, up to 30 hours per week which can be early mornings or late nights
