This role owns the day-to-day execution and performance of Amazon PPC, Amazon International PPC, Walmart Connect, Target+ and TikTok advertising campaigns. Reporting to the Marketplace Manager, this position drives marketplace growth through strategic budget allocation, campaign optimization, keyword management, bid adjustments, and ongoing performance analysis. While paid media strategy and performance remain the core function of the role, this position also supports marketplace growth through SEO-driven listing optimization, content audits, and search visibility improvements that enhance both organic and paid performance.

Core Responsibilities

  • Create, launch, and maintain campaigns across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, DSP, Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, and TikTok.
  • Run keyword research and ongoing optimization through bid adjustments, keyword harvesting, and negative keywords.
  • Monitor performance daily and analyze key metrics (ROAS, ACOS, TACOS, CPC, CTR, CVR, sales impact).
  • Design and run tests across keywords, creatives, audiences, placements, and bidding strategies.
  • Track trends and competitor activity, and coordinate with marketplace teams on launches, promotions, seasonal campaigns, and inventory.
  • Secondary: audit listings for content quality and compliance, improve titles, bullets, backend search terms, A+ Content, and images for paid and organic visibility, and use search term data to guide listing updates.
  • Build recurring reports and dashboards, present insights to management, provide monthly, quarterly, and annual summaries, and support forecasting and budget planning.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years managing digital or marketplace advertising, with proven Amazon PPC experience. Walmart, Target, or TikTok experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong grasp of advertising metrics, attribution, and optimization, plus working knowledge of marketplace SEO and listing best practices.
  • Proficient in Excel, with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
  • Experience managing budgets and performance targets while juggling multiple campaigns in a fast-paced setting.

Success Traits: Analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, results-driven, accountable, and comfortable working with data.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
