Who We’re Seeking:

 

Our Email Team is responsible for sending all email communications to our audience including but not limited to promotional, brand, lifecycle and operational sends. As our Email Marketing Specialist, you will play a vital role in scoping and implementing technical requirements for strategic initiatives and provide the email team with tactical support where needed. The ideal candidate will be a data driven problem solver, an email subject matter expert, self-motivated, team player, detail-oriented, and an excellent communicator.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Support email team with end-to-end execution of email set up in ESP (Email Service Provider) including list builds, scheduling and QAing emails along with any other required configurations (ex. A/B testing).

  • Create and implement testing strategies based on targeted customer cohorts and lifecycle flows with personalized content.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on executing our marketing activations.

  • Analyze data to pull key insights for designated initiatives along with strategic recommendations for next steps and optimizations.

  • Work with Sailthru support and internal stakeholders on any break/fix issues.

  • Scope and implement ad hoc technical projects based on business needs. Be the technical lead on any Sailthru integration work. 

  • Oversee the health and deliverability of our IP addresses and mailing lists to optimize inbox rates, leveraging 250ok and targeted suppressions as needed.

  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to update email processes and functions to allow for more scalable and stable solutions.

  • Create tasks in our project management system with clear deliverables and turnaround times for copy/design.

  • Work with key stakeholders to get feedback and/or approvals where needed in time for deployment.

  • Look for new ways to optimize efficiencies in our program from a data or production standpoint.

  • Support the team with ad-hoc requests as needed.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • 2-3 years working in marketing, preferably email marketing

  • Experience working in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines

  • Exceptional attention to detail. Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Track-record of driving wins from A/B Testing

  • HTML skills are a must, SQL a plus. Knowledge of Movable Ink (live content) and SMS are also a plus

  • Basic knowledge of APIs and ability to pick up different scripting languages (ex. Zephyr in Sailthru)

  • Experience with analytics tools, preferably Tableau. Looker a plus

  • In-depth understanding of how data is leveraged in an ESP (preferably Sailthru) for behavioral triggers and personalizing content in addition to segmentation for batch campaign sends

  • General understanding of email compliance regulations for the US (CAN-SPAM and CCPA) and International (GDPR and CASL)

  • Knowledge of Adobe Dreamweaver or other HTML building software

  • Proficient in Google Suite, especially Google Sheets and Adobe Photoshop

Location

The office is located in Marina del Rey with easy access to plenty of restaurants. We are close to LAX, beaches and Marina.
