At AT&T, we’re connecting customers to greater possibility with the latest mobility and internet products. We have an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise to a team that’s driving transformation with next-generation marketing technology solutions. This is a great opportunity to build a successful career at a Fortune 10 company where you’ll have a direct impact on how AT&T reaches and engages consumers through omnichannel marketing touchpoints and journeys.

Are you ready to make an impact? The Principal - Marketing Technology & Precision Campaign is a highly visible role where you’ll be interfacing with a wide range of marketing stakeholders, evaluating diverse needs and balancing varying degrees of urgency, and then partnering closely with a highly skilled marketing technology team to bring precision-based campaigns and local offers to life.

As the Principal - Marketing Technology & Precision Campaign Lead, you’ll be critical for ensuring AT&T’s local campaign objectives can execute and scale against a large and complex marketing technology stack that includes Adobe, Innovid, Snowflake, Zeta, Google and TransUnion.

The ideal candidate is a strategic operator who understands both marketing objectives and the technology needed to execute them. You are comfortable working with ambiguity, building structure where it does not yet exist, and influencing teams without direct authority. You can balance urgency with discipline, move quickly while managing risk, and connect the dots across business strategy, campaign execution, data, technology, and measurement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution framework for precision-based local marketing campaigns and promotions across digital, addressable, and omnichannel touchpoints.
  • Partner and solution with marketing strategy, analytics, data, and technology teams to translate campaign goals into executable audience, targeting, measurement, and activation requirements.
  • Serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and marketing technology teams to ensure campaign tactics are technically feasible, scalable, and aligned to key priorities.
  • Evaluate campaign requests, assess complexity, clarify requirements, and help prioritize work based on business impact, urgency, and operational readiness.
  • Support the development of repeatable campaign processes, intake models, documentation, workflows, and governance practices.
  • Help define audience segmentation, personalization, localization, and channel activation requirements in partnership with campaign strategy teams.
  • Coordinate across platforms and partners to enable campaign delivery through tools such as Adobe, Snowflake, Zeta, Google, Innovid, TransUnion, and related marketing technology systems.
  • Identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and operational challenges that could affect campaign execution or scalability.
  • Monitor campaign execution, troubleshoot issues, and drive resolution with appropriate business and technical partners.
  • Recommend improvements to campaign operations, martech utilization, targeting capabilities, and end-to-end campaign efficiency.
  • Communicate campaign status, risks, timelines, and decisions clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Help establish best practices for precision campaign activation, localization, audience management, and omnichannel orchestration.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in marketing technology, campaign operations, digital marketing, promotional offers, lifecycle marketing, or related marketing execution roles.
  • Strong understanding of omnichannel trigger and journey-based activation/personalization across paid and owned channels.
  • Experience working with marketing technology platforms, data platforms, audience activation tools, and campaign management systems.
  • Ability to translate business objectives into clear technical and operational requirements.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working across cross-functional teams, including marketing, analytics, technology, media, creative, and external partners.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify operational gaps, process improvements, and scalable solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics for business and technical audiences.
  • Comfort working in a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and evolving requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to executional excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Adobe (CDP, AJO, and CJA), Snowflake, Google Marketing Platform, Zeta, Innovid, TransUnion, or similar martech/adtech ecosystems.
  • Experience with audience segmentation, identity resolution, data onboarding, personalization, local marketing, or precision targeting.
  • Familiarity with campaign measurement, attribution, test-and-learn frameworks, and performance optimization.
  • Experience building new processes, operating models, or governance frameworks for campaign execution.
  • Background in telecommunications, consumer services, retail, subscription businesses, or other large-scale consumer marketing environments.
  • Ability to operate strategically while also driving hands-on execution and follow-through.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
