Who is the Marketing Program Manager?

As Marketing Program Manager, your primary goal is to monetize data-driven marketing core growth and category campaigns for customer pillars. You are closely aligned with the marketing strategist and category manager to understand the growth strategy, target partners, desired KPI’s, and the vendors who have been selected to engage with the program.  You monetize the program, manage the budget and expenses tied to it, and work with the selected accounts team for execution of activities. You work closely with the data analyst to review data monthly and maximize results. You provide program financials as well as ROI to the GM, Marketing Strategist and Category Marketing Managers monthly.  You provide post-campaign reporting for the vendor sponsors, and the sales and solution category managers. You take part in quarterly planning sessions with the platform team, group manager, marketing strategists, category marketing managers, content strategists and event strategists.

Who is a successful Marketing Program Manager?

Successful Marketing Program Managers are adept at managing budgets and optimizing program profitability while staying focused on delivering high-impact results. You are in lockstep with your growth category counterparts, category marketing managers, and account management teams.  You’re data informed and work meticulously with the data analyst to understand where we can pivot to ensure KPI’s are met. You’re highly organized and develop tools for transparency and to track and proactively communicate program results.   You are curious and well-informed about the target customer segment and considered the SME for acquire, retain, or engage. You work closely with your Manila accountant to ensure program financials are correct and get ahead of discrepancies before they become an issue.  You’re agile, you champion change, you aren’t afraid to challenge the status quo and ask “why”. You demonstrate attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
