Job Description

The Opportunity: 

Hot Wheels is a global lifestyle brand with a passionate adult fan base rooted in automotive culture, design, collecting, and pop culture.

The Marketing Manager, Hot Wheels Adult – DTC and Online, on the Global Brand Team, will lead the end-to-end digital ecosystem for adult collectors and enthusiasts. Accelerate digital engagement and growth among Hot Wheels Adult Fans. Bridge brand storytelling and digital commerce – ensuring the whole digital experience serves as an inspirational brand destination and high-performing e-comm platform. Partner with cross-functional teams across product, creative, content and media planning to keep the destination fresh, on-brand and always focused on the consumer.

The Manager will focus on DTC growth, ecosystem management and digital marketing – showcasing how Hot Wheels offers premium online experiences that excites fans, drives sales and fosters community. Oversee campaigns, specific partnerships, e-comm initiatives and content.

What Your Impact Will Be: 

Brand Marketing:

  • Own the digital brand ecosystem for Hot Wheels Adult (DTC, website, online marketing).
  • Develop annual DTC and digital marketing strategies aligned with brand and sales goals.
  • Manage cross-functional campaigns and initiatives with brand, product, creative, analytics and partners.
  • Manage budgets and timelines for digital programs and launches.
  • Drive initiatives that showcase Hot Wheels Adult while delivering cohesive consumer journeys – and growing engagement and sales.

DTC & eCommerce Growth

  • Lead marketing strategies for adult-targeted DTC platforms (Mattel Creations, Red Line Club, Elite 64, exclusives).
  • Partner with eCommerce and Product teams to optimize product launches, drops, promotions and site merchandising.
  • Drive customer acquisition, conversion, retention and loyalty through digital-first campaigns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on CRM and subscription/loyalty programs to grow collector engagement.

Website Strategy & Management

  • Drive strategy, content and performance of HotWheels.com as a brand and commerce hub.
  • Partner with the DTC team on the editorial calendar, landing pages and brand storytelling across the site.
  • Ensure seamless integration of eCommerce, storytelling and community features.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class UX.

Online Marketing & Campaigns

  • Partner with the Performance Marketing team on integrated online marketing campaigns (paid, owned, earned) across social, search, email, and display. Includes re-targeting efforts to grow site traffic and sales.
  • Manage campaign calendars and creative asset development for adult DTC and site-driven initiatives.
  • Amplify partnerships, collaborations and cultural moments through digital-first activations.

Analytics & Optimization

  • Define KPIs for website, DTC, and online campaigns; report performance regularly with insights.
  • Run testing (A/B, UX, SEO) to optimize site experience, conversions and engagement.
  • Monitor competitive landscape, eCommerce benchmarks and cultural trends to develop and evolve strategy.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For: 

  • 6+ years (4 years with MBA) experience in brand marketing (on brand or agency side) or purpose-driven strategy/marketing, with at least 3 years focused on DTC/e-Commerce marketing
  • Proven brand storyteller experience at crafting successful & compelling audience-led narratives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; success in working with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to synthesize data and pull insights to create and execute plans.
  • Demonstrated expertise in driving results through performance, growth and lifecycle marketing.
  • Proven record in managing digital product drops as well as growth/lifecycle/community-driven marketing campaigns.
  • Established project management, communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, launch-driven environment with numerous concurrent campaigns.
  • Experience with subscription models, loyalty programs and membership marketing.
