About Automotus

Automotus builds computer vision technology that transforms how cities and airports manage their curbs. We work with forward-thinking municipalities and airport authorities across the U.S. to enforce parking regulations, manage loading zones, and unlock revenue. We're growing and building the go-to-market motion to match.

The Role

You'll own the operational backbone of our marketing. This includes managing events from concept to follow-up and producing content that moves our audience. You'll report to the VP of Growth and work closely with our sales and customer teams.

We're looking for someone who gets things done, thrives in motion, and takes pride in execution. If you like seeing something through from start to finish, this is the role for you.

What You'll Own

Events & Sponsorships

  • Plan and execute industry conferences, client dinners, and hosted events (we sponsor 3-4 major events annually, 4-5 regional events, and 2 of our own customer events)
  • Submit speaking proposals for increased exposure
  • Manage logistics: booth design, swag, staffing, registration, and post-event follow-up
  • Coordinate travel, accommodations, and onsite execution for team
  • Track leads and ROI from events
  • Suggest improvements so that are event participation improves over time

Content Production

  • Create one-pagers, case studies, buying guides, and sales enablement assets
  • Publish blog posts on topics that resonate with city and airport buyers
  • Manage social media cadence across LinkedIn and other channels
  • Collaborate with the team on messaging and positioning

General Operations

  • Maintain marketing calendar and project tracker
  • Support webinars, product demos, and customer presentations
  • Manage relationships with vendors, agencies, and partners
What We're Looking For
  • 1-3 years in event coordination, marketing operations, or content production (or equivalent experience)
  • Proactive ownership of a project
  • Track record of shipping things on time, solo ownership, and problem-solving on the fly
  • Comfortable working with Google Workspace, project management tools, and basic design software (Canva, Figma, or similar)
  • Curiosity about B2G sales, municipal tech, and transportation/parking space
  • You don't need to be a writer, but you need to be willing to edit and publish
  • You thrive in fast-paced environments where you're wearing multiple hats
  • Bonus: experience with HubSpot, event registration platforms, and managing conference sponsorships
What This Is Not

This is not a coordinator role for a manager to delegate to. You're not supporting someone else's vision. You're driving execution on events and content and owning the results.

What We Offer
  • Base salary: $70k-$90K, based on experience
  • Equity
  • Health insurance, 401(k), flexible schedule
  • Work with cutting-edge municipal tech and real customers solving real problems
  • Room to grow into more strategic marketing work as you prove yourself
  • Remote-friendly (we're distributed)

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
