Job Description

Position Summary

The Marketing Coordinator supports the Marketing team for our Security portfolio, including Master Lock, Sentry Safe and Yale, by providing administrative, financial, and project coordination support. This is an early‑career role designed for individuals building foundational marketing operations and brand support skills within a consumer‑focused manufacturing environment.
 

The role focuses on execution and coordination, working under clear direction from Marketing leadership. The Marketing Coordinator ensures accuracy, organization, and timely completion of assigned tasks that enable successful marketing programs across North America. This role operates in a hybrid work environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Administration & Budget Support

  • Assist with the creation and processing of purchase orders in Oracle for marketing activities, including campaigns, events, product samples, and promotional materials.
  • Perform goods receipts and support invoice matching to issued purchase orders under guidance from Marketing leadership.
  • Track marketing expenses and assist with reconciling corporate card charges to the appropriate cost centers and general ledger accounts.
  • Maintain budget trackers and documentation to support accurate reporting and visibility for Marketing Team and Finance.

Brand Marketing Coordination

  • Provide administrative and coordination support for brand initiatives such as product launches, promotions, campaigns, and events.
  • Support project timelines by tracking tasks, updating status documents, and following up on action items as directed.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Creative, Digital, Product, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance) to support execution of assigned brand, product marketing and channel initiatives.
  • Assist with routing of assets for reviews and approvals in accordance with brand and legal processes.

Samples, Assets & Promotional Materials

  • Support the sourcing and coordination of promotional items and brand merchandise following established guidelines.
  • Help manage inventory of marketing materials, including promotional items, samples, and event assets.
  • Coordinate shipping and fulfillment of samples and materials for meetings, events, or sales requests.

Content & Localization Support

  • Coordinate translation and localization requests for marketing materials using approved vendors or internal resources.
  • Ensure materials are correctly versioned, labeled, and stored following brand standards.

General Support

  • Prepare basic reports, trackers, and presentations to support marketing planning and execution.
  • Maintain organized records of marketing spend, assets, and vendor documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of department goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Finance, or a related field and at least three years of experience including internships or co‑op experience in marketing, business operations, or project coordination or high school diploma and at least six years of experience including internships or co‑op experience in marketing, business operations, or project coordination.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a structured environment.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.

 

Preferred

  • Exposure to SAP or ERP systems (training provided if not previously experienced).
  • Experience supporting consumer brands, fast‑moving consumer goods, or manufacturing organizations.
  • Interest in brand marketing, consumer products, or marketing operations.

Additional Information

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $49,000 USD - $65,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
