SUMMARY
The Senior Marketing Coordinator develops messages for print and digital forms of marketing, and copyedits content written by self and other members of the Marketing Department team. The incumbent handles daily administrative approval items in customer relationship management (CRM) and timekeeping platforms, and supports marketing campaign/project enhancements and communications for the Marketing department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Write messages through various content types including print collateral, website content, brochures, publications, product descriptions, press releases, announcements, and other forms of marketing.
• Copyedit content written by self and team members for spelling, grammar, syntax, and punctuation to ensure accuracy and brand consistency. Work closely with designers and marketing team members to update and amend written content according to feedback.
• Conduct research, monitor marketing trends and support competitive marketing campaigns.
• Maintain marketing database and photo library, and filing systems for paper and electronic documents.
• Fulfill administrative tasks such as sample order entry, and maintaining marketing documents and resource materials related marketing and communication activities.
• Handles daily administrative approval items in Salesforce CRM platform (e.g., sample order entry, Co-op credit, purchase requisitions, check requests, trip reports, IRAs), and timekeeping platform.
• Provide marketing project and tradeshow support.
• Provide customer service and sales support as needed.
• Exercise judgment to balance priorities and communicate to teams to meet and exceed project deadlines and commitments; keep the marketing team informed of projects and progress.
• Assist with special projects and other job-related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or Public Relations AND 3 years of related experience, OR equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Prior experience in corporate content creation, Social Media, and other creative content development is a plus.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Possess intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and proficiency with PC and Mac platforms and tools. Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) is a plus, but not necessary.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. The ability to present ideas effectively using both oral and written skills. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
Ability to write clearly and with good logic, and ensure content has correct punctuation, grammar, and syntax.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Abilities to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.
