Marketing Coordinator

The Marketing Coordinator works directly with the Director of Marketing & Communications, Marketing Manager, and Director of Sales & Marketing to help support resort-wide and departmental initiatives for Montage Laguna Beach. This position has a focus on public relations and marketing; including but not limited to brand marketing, social media, website and digital marketing. Social media duties to include support with social media content planning and cultivation to grow online relationships with key target audiences; and seek new opportunities to integrate social media into our strategic marketing objectives. Coordinator also assists with general administrative tasks including, but not limited to: upkeep of multiple websites and third party sites; collateral creation and updates; organization and management of photography library; reputation management; collateral filing/organization; media itinerary development; and making reservations for PR/Marketing VIPs. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS   

  • Perform administrative duties such as website updates, media reservations and itineraries, collateral creation and organization, and upkeep of filing systems. 

  • Support with daily management of social media channels 

  • Reputation management across a variety of platforms 

  • Assist Director of Marketing & Public Relations and Marketing Manager in scheduling appointments, meetings and other departmental tasks. 

  • Assist with monthly reporting and auditing of brand image. 

  • Work closely with operational departments, PR agencies and local partners to stay informed of relevant news and updates to maximize opportunities for exposure. 

  • Order and maintain office supplies & filing system 

  • Perform additional tasks as required 

                 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.  

  • Two years’ experience in marketing or public relations preferred. 

  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.  

  • Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.    

  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.  

  • Ability to communicate customer needs and resolve complaints independently.  

  • Ability to establish and master goals.  

  • Ability to identify and assist in the development of accounts.  

  • Ability to act independently with minimal or no supervision.  

  • Must possess basic computational ability.    

  • Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, accounting programs, Microsoft Word, Excel and Delphi.  

  • Tasks with Delphi will require follow notes and account entries from post trade shows and telephone activity  

  • Math skills, as well as budgetary analysis capabilities required. 

Physical Requirements 

Most work tasks performed indoors. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks. Requires manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending and climbing.

 The pay scale for Marketing Coordinator is $25.00

The pay scale is the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Montage reasonably expects to pay for the position.
