Overview

The Social Media Coordinator supports Quinn Company’s social media presence by developing, publishing, and optimizing engaging content across social platforms. Working closely with the Marketing Communications Manager, this position helps develop social media content strategies and translates marketing priorities, campaigns, events, and business activities into relevant social content.

The Social Media Coordinator manages day-to-day social media execution, including content planning, copy development, scheduling and publishing, community engagement, and performance reporting. The role works collaboratively with internal teams to identify content opportunities and gather photos, videos, stories, and information that showcase Quinn’s people, customers, products, services, and capabilities.

This position also supports broader marketing initiatives and departmental activities as needed.

Wages

Starting wage will depend on experience and education. $25.08 - $31.26


Responsibilities

Social Media & Content

  • Partner with the Marketing Communications Manager to develop social media strategies, content plans, and campaign support aligned with company and marketing objectives.
  • Maintain and execute the social media content calendar across company social channels.
  • Develop, write, schedule, and publish organic social media content appropriate for each platform and audience.
  • Identify and develop content opportunities across Quinn locations, departments, employees, customers, events, and jobsites.
  • Coordinate with internal subject matter experts and team members to gather information, photos, videos, and other content assets.
  • Capture basic photo and video content as needed and coordinate with marketing creative resources for more complex production.
  • Support social media coverage of company events, customer activities, community involvement, product launches, promotions, and other initiatives.
  • Monitor social channels and support timely, appropriate engagement with comments, questions, and messages in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Ensure social content follows Quinn and Caterpillar brand standards, messaging guidelines, and established voice and tone.

Performance & Optimization

  • Monitor and report on social media performance, including audience growth, engagement, reach, traffic, and other relevant metrics.
  • Analyze content performance to identify trends and opportunities to improve future content.
  • Provide regular reporting and recommendations to the Marketing Communications Manager and marketing team.
  • Stay current on social media platform changes, emerging formats, audience behaviors, and relevant industry trends.
  • Recommend new content ideas, formats, and approaches based on performance data and platform trends.

General Marketing Support

  • Support marketing campaigns and initiatives with social media content and coordination.
  • Support business listings; monitoring, updating, and adding content.
  • Assist with lead referral program; tracking, reporting and promoting.
  • Assist with marketing events, promotions, employee communications, content development, and other departmental projects as needed.
  • Coordinate with marketing team members, agencies, vendors, and internal departments to support project execution.
  • Maintain organized social media assets, content files, calendars, and reporting.
  • Production and distribution of campaign assets.
  • Perform other marketing-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field preferred; equivalent education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Internship or professional experience supporting social media, marketing, communications, or content development preferred.
  • Experience creating and publishing content for major social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube preferred.
  • Experience with social media management, analytics, graphic design, photography, or video editing tools is a plus.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong written communication, copywriting, and storytelling skills.
  • Understanding of social media platforms, content formats, audience behaviors, and best practices.
  • Ability to create engaging content while maintaining established brand standards, messaging, and voice.
  • Experience with social media management and publishing platforms such as Sprout Social or similar tools.
  • Working knowledge of social media analytics and reporting, with the ability to interpret performance data and identify actionable insights.
  • Basic graphic design skills and experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, or similar design tools.
  • Basic photography, videography, and short-form video editing skills for social media content.
  • Familiarity with video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Express, CapCut, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to adapt content for different social platforms, audiences, formats, and campaign objectives.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to maintain a content calendar and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with employees, customers, and subject matter experts to identify and develop content opportunities.
  • Self-motivated and able to proactively identify stories, trends, and opportunities for social content.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to learn and adopt new social media platforms, technologies, AI-enabled tools, and marketing technologies as appropriate.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative marketing team.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / TRAVEL

This position is primarily office-based but may require periodic travel to Quinn locations, customer sites, jobsites, events, and other locations to capture content and support marketing activities. Some activities may occur outdoors or in active equipment and industrial environments.
