Compensation

The compensation target range for this role is:

$55,300 - $65,000

Job Summary

Purple is seeking an innovative and fast-paced professional to join our Marketing Communications team as a Marketing Coordinator. The marketing coordinator will play an instrumental role in aiding the communications team, including organizing materials, order and contract management, influencer vetting, and inbound social community management.
This role will connect with our fans online, manage inbound messages, track social feedback, identify ways to celebrate sleep in ways our consumers enjoy seeing, and project manage internal Comms efforts.
The right candidate is deeply ingrained in Social, has a strong editorial voice and values connection with our audiences and communities. They should have a passion for storytelling and find creative ways to tell Purple’s innovation story across a variety of channels. This person should also be collaborative, self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor community inbounds across all Social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Threads, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and Reddit),

    • This includes reacting to queries, resolving negative experiences, creating positive touchpoints, providing a great user experience, and identifying areas relevant for further brand engagement and enhancement

  • Monitor consumer conversation in real time and report conversation trends to proper channels.

  • Engage the Purple community actively and responsively, both in relevant outside communities and existing own channels.

  • Seek out and participate in relevant conversations that are happening in the social media space – flag for opportunities for further engagement and interaction.

  • Track and report on campaign results, then providing actionable ideas and steps to improve and/or keep comms efforts up-to-date.

  • Track, evaluate and share results of PR efforts

  • Monitor press & influencer email inbox

  • Aid in finding, vetting and communicating with influencers

  • Submit and track contracts and influencer information

  • Brainstorm new, creative approaches to organic social channels to support social team, PR, business partnerships and events.

  • Have an “always-on” mentality, keeping a pulse on trends, current events, new platform features and best practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, PR or combination of relevant education, experience, and training

  • Natural verbal and visual communicator

  • Proficient with influencer monitoring software services, such as Aspire or Tagger

  • Proficient with media monitoring software services, such as Meltwater

  • In-depth knowledge of social media marketing industry

  • Well-organized with great time management skills

  • Outstanding project management skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
