About Atari

Atari is a legendary gaming brand that first emerged in the 1970s and has continued to thrive as a pioneer of both retro and innovative gaming. We develop and publish both original and classic games for modern platforms, including PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Steam and more.  These games are released under a diverse group of publishing labels, including Atari, Infogrames, Digital Eclipse, Nightdive Studios, and RollerCoaster Tycoon, as well as through partnerships with external developers like Thunderful. Our publishing arm feels like a small indie studio, fast-moving, collaborative, and hands-on. We want passionate video game lovers ready to roll up their sleeves and contribute meaningfully to every project.

Overview

Atari is seeking a Marketing Campaign Manager to join our Publishing team and serve as the central hub of marketing initiatives across all Atari studios and titles.

As the Campaign Manager, you will work closely with the Head of Publishing to guide the creation, execution, and performance analysis of go-to-market strategies for our diverse lineup of games. In a lean, agile publishing team like ours, you’ll drive both the planning and the hands-on work to make campaigns happen. You’ll manage the marketing budget for each title, setting expectations and allocating resources across campaign components like influencer, social, PR, events, and content creation. You’ll work closely with development teams, creative services, PR, social media and influencer teams, and third-party licensors to ensure cohesive, impactful campaigns that meet the company's vision and reach the right audiences.

The Marketing Campaign Manager will also work hand-in-hand with the Marketing Creative Manager, assisting in the coordination of creative asset production and ensuring that all deliverables are on schedule, on-brand, and optimized for every channel.

Key Responsibilities

GTM Planning & Campaign Strategy

  • Lead the creation and execution of go-to-market strategies for all titles across the Atari Games Publishing portfolio.
  • Align campaign strategies with publishing and communications priorities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: development, publishing operations, creative services, PR, influencer, and performance marketing.
  • Work closely with third-party licensors to ensure campaigns align with partner expectations and IP guidelines.
  • Manage the overall marketing budget for each game, including scaling, allocation, and performance tracking.
  • Analyze campaign performance data and report on key success metrics.

Asset & Workflow Management

  • Works with the Marketing Creative Manager to define the full asset needs for each title, ensuring clarity on what must be produced and when.
  • Establishes priority schedules and campaign roadmaps that guide the Creative Manager and asset producers in managing workload and sequencing deliverables.
  • Produces timelines, dependencies and expectations so that asset creation aligns tightly with marketing beats and go-to-market plans.

Cross-Studio & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Act as the central bridge for communication and alignment across studios, the creative services teams, PR, and publishing leadership regarding marketing campaigns and strategies.
  • Lead campaign-focused status meetings, identify bottlenecks, and communicate risks early.

Measurement, Reporting & Optimization

  • Own campaign analytics, dashboards, and reporting for leadership visibility.
  • Define and track KPIs (awareness, engagement, conversions, retention).
  • Conduct campaign reviews and implement insights to improve future performance.
Qualifications & Skills
  • 4+ years experience in marketing operations, campaign management, or publishing operations in the video game industry
  • Demonstrated experience managing marketing campaigns (ideally across multiple channels) and delivering shipping titles
  • Proficiency with project/campaign management tools (e.g. Asana, Jira) and marketing platforms
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple parallel timelines
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical mindset, comfort with data and reporting
  • Familiarity with game development and publishing processes (asset pipelines, localization, first-party platform constraints, etc.)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment, adapt to change, and work across teams

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
