Position Summary:

The Market Measurement & Commercial Analytics Analyst role will support Samyang’s growth agenda across America (ex-US) by turning syndicated data, market performance, and commercial analytics into actionable business recommendations. This person should have a strong market intelligence expertise across sources such as NielsenIQ, Kantar, Circana/IRI, retailer data, and internal sales data. The role will partner closely with Sales, Marketing & Finance to identify opportunities, monitor performance, and support fact-based decision making across brand, category, channel, and customer priorities.

Responsibilities: 

  • Execute recurring reporting and analysis using syndicated and internal data sources.
  • Support tracking of category, brand, channel, customer, and competitor performance across North America and Latin America markets.
  • Analyze key metrics such as sales, share, distribution, velocity, pricing, promotion, and market trends.
  • Prepare dashboards, scorecards, and presentations for internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update regular reporting tools and databases to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  •  Support ad hoc analyses to answer business questions from Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Insights teams.
  • Assist in identifying market opportunities, risks, and notable performance changes based on available data.
  • Work with external data providers and internal stakeholders to gather, validate, and organize information.
  • Help ensure consistent use of data sources, definitions, and reporting logic across analyses.
  • Contribute to the preparation of materials for business reviews and planning discussions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in market measurement, commercial analytics, category analysis, syndicated data analysis, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with syndicated data sources such as NielsenIQ/Nielsen, Kantar, Circana/IRI, or similar.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint/Canva skills.
  • Ability to work with large data sets and turn them into clear, accurate summaries.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • English fluency required. 
  • AI proficiency is a must (agents’ development & others).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in CPG, food and beverage, or retail-related industries.
  • Familiarity with North America and/or Latin America markets.
  • Experience using BI or data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Spanish and Portuguese proficiency.
  • Experience supporting commercial, category management, or market intelligence teams.

The base salary for this position is between $90,000.00 and $115,000.00 per year. Actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience, and location. This position may also be eligible for additional compensation and benefits, including an annual incentive bonus, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, PTO/FTO, and a 401(k) plan with company match.
