Job Description

Responsibilities:

•  Lead the strategy, design, and development of proprietary VFX production tools aligned to business needs

•  Own the full lifecycle of tool implementation—concept, stakeholder alignment, rollout and training

•  Drive change management for tool/process rollouts, training, adoption, and feedback capture

•  Lead and evaluate tool effectiveness using data and team feedback; drive continuous improvement roadmaps

•  Conduct discovery with cross functional teams to map VFX production/finance workflows (script→wrap) and establish standardized operating procedures to drive continuous improvement across productions

•  Influences vendor selection and cost efficiency by developing structured bid comparisons and surfacing data-driven insights that improve scoping accuracy and financial planning.

•  Partner with VFX Finance to request and track contract packages for talent and vendors, support deal memo generation

•  Lead vendor onboarding and NDA workflows, partnering cross-functionally to ensure compliance with studio requirements and vendor readiness

•  Direct fulfillment of technology needs from production side teams through studio technology resources (e.g., DCT), including access, requests, and support

•  Define, maintain operational practices across VFX productions to ensure consistency, scalability, and alignment with studio priorities.

Qualifications:

•  2+ years of experience in VFX, either showside or vendor, with a strong understanding of production workflows and industry best practices

•  Skilled with industry-standard creative and editorial tools: ShotGrid, SyncSketch, Cinesync

•  Strong command of productivity and collaboration platforms: Microsoft Office, Airtable, Lucidchart

•  Knowledge of scripting and automation a plus: Python, Excel macros/VBA, Office Scripts, and Power Automate

•  Adept in technical storytelling, workflow optimization, and cross-functional collaboration

•  Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to multitask in deadline-driven environments

•  Self-motivated, resourceful, and quick to adapt in fast-paced, team-oriented settings

•  Diplomatic and discreet when handling sensitive issues or confidential information

•  Passionate about VFX and the creative technologies that power the artistry behind it

•  Committed to continuous learning and improving tools, processes, and team capabilities

The anticipated base salary for this position is $92,879~$120,743. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
