How we LEAD:

The Manager, Visual Creative will be responsible for leading in execution and project management of visual media created for Interscope artists such as: concept and press photography, art direction for digital cover art and physical packaging (CD, vinyl, etc.), music video creative ideation and production, behind the scenes content filming, executing creative for live and taped broadcast performances, tour visuals, in-person activations, billboard designs (physical/digital/interactive),  assets in support of ad campaigns, etc.

This position will work closely with marketing and digital core teams, as well as relevant departments across the label based on project needs. Alongside the Visual Creative leadership team, this role will be responsible for supporting the visual identity of the Artist roster and Label brand across projects and releases across all genres.  

How you’ll CREATE:

  • Oversee creation of artist project visual assets (ex. music video / press & DSP photos / concept cover art) – lead process of ideation with artist and management team, execution, and trafficking and obtaining approvals internally and externally.
  • Oversee distribution of approved creative assets internally to respective departments.
  • Sourcing creative talent – directors, photographers, production companies, reps, designers, retouchers, stylists, hair, makeup.
  • Strategizing creative content ideas for artists with our marketing and digital teams.
  • Drafting production agreements for art / photo / music video / misc. content.
  • Lead in conversations and negotiations for production bids and deal memos with 3rd party vendors
  • Liaise with 3rd party production vendors / partners for execution of time sensitive budgets/invoices/payments 
  • Ensure final approved delivered assets + corresponding hard drives / files / elements arrive in-house.
  • Maintain the ability to juggle multiple projects with highly confidential information
  • Hit tight deadlines with a can-do attitude; ability to travel and work in office and remotely.
  • Turn around projects on extremely tight deadlines.

Bring your VIBE:

  • 5+ Years of relevant experience, label preferred
  • Strong ability to communicate creative direction and feedback on assets to/from artist/mgmt. and external creative partners (vice versa)
  • Collaborate with Creative leadership team to develop artist/project moodboard/brand bible
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photo Shop, Illustrator, Premiere, etc.)
  • Ability to edit short and long form content and getting relevant approvals internal/external is preferred
  • General retouching capability for images for social/digital/print/billboards is preferred
  • Staying abreast of current trends and other artists we can learn from.
  • Deep knowledge of music, art, fashion, popular culture.
  • Keep up with design and editorial trends.
