Position Summary:
The Manager of Trade Marketing is a vital role within the Naturium marketing team. This position is responsible for developing and executing innovative omnichannel go-to-market strategies that will enable Naturium to breakthrough the highly competitive beauty environment. It is essential this candidate demonstrate key cultural practices of growth, positivity, honesty, curiosity, innovation, speed, agility and collaboration. Peer collaboration is extremely important as this pivotal team member needs the collective support of the Naturium brand, creative, media and sales organization to support their strategic vision. This candidate must be an innovation driver.
Responsibilities:
- Global Trade Strategy: responsible for partnering with Senior Manager of Trade Marketing to develop and execute the global trade strategy with a focus on how to be best-in-class animators with key trade partners in the US, UK, CA, Australia and more
- Retailer trade plans: responsible for developing high impact trade plans at key retailers that breakthrough the highly competitive retailer digital and POS ecosystems
- Go to market: responsible for partnering with Sr. Manager Trade Marketing, brand marketing, and sales leads to guarantee the perfect execution of all trade animation
- Brand investment: collaborate with sales and media team to manage a clear vision of brand investments and ROI with retail partners
- Merchandising: collaborate with sales, brand, creative and visual merchandising teams to ensure impactful brand image in permanent and secondary POS
- Set development: partner with Sr. Manager of Trade Marketing and brand team to develop discovery and gift set strategy that drives market share of brand in key retailers
- In-store event activations: collaborate with sales and education teams on in-store event strategy and evergreen toolkits to ensure brand vision is cohesive across activations
- Sampling and GWPs: partner with Sr. Manager of Trade Marketing on global sampling and GWP strategy to drive trial and conversion
- Market and Competitor: be an industry expert on how competitors are winning at key retailers to enable Naturium to breakthrough ahead of competition
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in trade marketing, shopper marketing, or omnichannel go-to-market strategy, preferably in the beauty, skincare, or consumer goods industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven success in developing and executing retailer-specific trade strategies across digital and physical retail environments.
- Experience working with key mass and specialty retailers (e.g., Target, Ulta, Amazon, Boots, Mecca) in the US and international markets (UK, Australia preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate omnichannel marketing programs (retail, digital, in-store merchandising, POS).
- Strong background in cross-functional collaboration with brand, sales, media, creative, and international marketing teams.
- Track record of budget ownership, including brand trade investment planning and ROI optimization.
- Deep understanding of shopper behavior, retail trends, and point-of-sale engagement strategies.
- Skilled in developing and executing go-to-market and promotional calendars that drive conversion and brand visibility.
- Excellent project management skills; ability to manage multiple timelines and priorities across regions and departments.
- Strategic thinking with strong analytical acumen; capable of using retailer and category data to inform decisions (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, POS analytics).
- Strong visual and commercial sensibility to ensure brand equity is consistently executed across all trade channels.
- Proficiency in tools like PowerPoint, Excel, project management platforms, and retail data platforms.

- Highly collaborative and skilled at building consensus across brand, sales, and retail partners.

- Passion for the beauty/skincare category and understanding of its competitive landscape and retailer dynamics.
The base salary range for this role is listed above.
Total compensation includes base salary, annual company-based performance bonus, and equity. Under e.l.f.’s annual bonus program, employees are eligible to earn up to 200% of their target bonus when company performance exceeds defined goals. In addition, e.l.f. provides a variety of other benefits to employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement savings plan, gender neutral parental leave, and unlimited paid time off. The amount of total compensation (including base salary) offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including geographic location, experience, specific skills, and qualifications.
