Role Summary

At Delinea, we’re redefining what it means to secure identities in the modern enterprise, and we’re ready to bring that story to life on the biggest stage yet. We’re looking for a Manager, Strategic Events to support the planning, execution, and day-to-day operations of Delinea’s first-ever Customer Conference. Reporting to the Senior Director of Strategic Events, this role will play a key part in bringing a high-profile, flagship experience to life — one that inspires our customers, engages our partners, and elevates Delinea’s leadership in identity security.

Beyond the customer conference, you’ll contribute to Delinea’s other major events, including Sales Kickoff (SKO) and President’s Club, helping drive connection and celebration across the company.

We’re looking for a hands-on event professional who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments. The successful candidate is detail-obsessed, highly organized, and energized by the logistics that make great events feel effortless. Most of all, you’re passionate about bringing people together to learn, connect, and drive meaningful business results.

What You’ll Do

Conference Support & Execution

  • Support the Senior Director of Strategic Events in the planning and execution of Delinea’s inaugural Customer Conference, contributing across workstreams from concept to completion.

  • Coordinate with marketing, sales, product, customer success, and executive stakeholders to help bring programming and the attendee journey to life.

  • Help identify opportunities to refine and improve the attendee experience year over year.

Event Production & Logistics

  • Assist in managing agencies, vendors, and venues across production, scenic design, AV, content delivery, and onsite logistics.

  • Coordinate registration, housing, communications, and attendee flow for 250–400+ participants.

  • Support execution of key event elements including general sessions, breakouts, certifications, partner activations, and networking experiences.

Budget & Reporting

  • Track event budgets, contracts, and financial details with accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Compile attendance, feedback, and pipeline data to support post-event analysis and debriefs led by the Senior Director.

Sponsorship & Partner Coordination

  • Coordinate sponsorship deliverables for the Customer Conference, ensuring sponsor branding, communications, and onsite activations are executed accurately.

  • Partner with the Delinea channel/partner organization to support sponsor and partner engagement.

  • Help build and maintain strong day-to-day relationships with sponsors and partners.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with global teams and agencies to keep projects on track and aligned with the broader event strategy.

  • Coordinate with speakers and presenters on logistics, run-of-show, and content delivery support.

Onsite Support

  • Serve as a key onsite team member, supporting vendor coordination, staff logistics, and overall event flow under the direction of the Senior Director.

  • Troubleshoot day-to-day issues with poise, creativity, and a solution-oriented mindset.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3–5 years of event coordination or event management experience, ideally including support of multi-day conferences (B2B tech or cybersecurity a plus).

  • Solid working knowledge of event logistics, vendor coordination, registration, and onsite execution.

  • Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving instincts and a proactive, “can-do” attitude.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable collaborating across teams and levels.

  • Familiarity with event tech platforms (Cvent or similar) and CRM/marketing automation tools (Salesforce, HubSpot) preferred.

  • High energy, collaborative spirit, and a passion for helping deliver memorable customer experiences.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Willingness to travel as required.

Why work at Delinea?

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
