Job Description:
Copia is seeking a Manager/Sr. Manager of Project Controls with a strong background in scheduling and controls to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of renewable power plant projects. This role is critical in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

The Manager/Sr. Manager, Project Controls will report directly to the Director, Project Management, working closely with Copia’s asset management, energy markets, development, and finance teams in an individual contributor capacity.

Key Responsibilities:
•Develop, manage, and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-standard scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
•Champion of Generative Scheduling tool and first line of defense on schedules with EPCs during RFP, Contract negotiations and in execution.
•Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) teams to ensure seamless integration of schedules and alignment with project milestones and deliverables.
•Act as the primary scheduling liaison between internal teams, EPC contractors, and subcontractors to ensure coordinated execution and timely completion of tasks.
•Monitor project progress, identify potential scheduling risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
•Works closely with the Copia data team to track and benchmark costs, productivity rates, labor utilization, etc. in use for continuous improvement and validating shared savings across portfolio/EPC partners, inclusive of working with development engineering for project cost estimating of development pipeline
•Conduct regular schedule updates, progress tracking, and critical path analysis.
•Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to integrate their schedules into the overall project timeline, ensuring alignment with EPC requirements.
•Support project budget tracking, forecasting, and reporting efforts in coordination with EPC stakeholders.
•Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
•Prepare and present reports to stakeholders on project status, schedule performance, and key milestones.
•Facilitate effective communication among project team members, EPC contractors, and other key stakeholders.
•Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize scheduling and project management processes.

Minimum Qualifications:
•4+ years professional experience in project management or project controls, preferably in renewable energy, power generation, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
•Strong proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent.
•Demonstrated ability to manage complex project schedules, track performance, and drive results.
•Extensive experience working with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contracts, with a focus on scheduling and coordination.
•Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
•Ability to work in the Salt Lake City, UT office a minimum of 3 days per week, or remote in Phoenix, AZ with frequent site visits.
•Ability to travel up to 30%
