We are seeking a Manager, Software Engineering to join our R&D organization and lead one or more engineering teams delivering capabilities for the HHAeXchange Enterprise platform and Sandata SaaS solutions. This role focuses on day-to-day engineering execution, people leadership, and operational excellence, ensuring teams deliver high-quality, secure, reliable, and scalable software solutions

This is a fully remote opportunity for candidates located in the EST or CST time zones within the US only.

Essential Job Duties

  • Own engineering delivery, maintenance, and production support for assigned product or platform areas. 
  • Deliver new features and optimize existing components with a focus on code quality, scalability, performance, security, and maintainability. 
  • Ensure effective incident response, troubleshooting, and operational execution for production systems. 
  • Lead sprint planning, prioritization, and execution to drive predictable delivery. 
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership through design reviews, code reviews, and deployment oversight. 
  • Directly manage software engineers and/or technical leads, including coaching, feedback, and career development. 
  • Partner with Product, Architecture, QA, and Operations to ensure quality, alignment, and production readiness. 
  • Support modernization initiatives, including cloud-native development and technical debt reduction. 
  • Encourage adoption of AI-assisted SDLC tools to improve engineering velocity and effectiveness while maintaining standards. 
  • Support development of AI-enabled capabilities following strong practices for quality, security, privacy, and reliability. 
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and training of software engineering staff.

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or HHAeXchange leader.

Travel Requirements

  • Travel up to 10%, including overnight travel

Required Education, Experience, Certifications and Skills

  • Education: Specify the minimum education level needed (e.g., bachelor’s degree, specific certifications).
