As a Snap Engineering team member, you'll help us build the future of communication.
We're looking for an Engineering Manager to join the Client Platform team at Snap!
What you'll do:

  • Help define the technical vision for performance, reliability & efficiency(PRE) of the Snapchat app for iOS and Android focussing on customer experience.
  • Influence key decisions and tradeoffs on architecture and implementation of client side features.
  • Build and grow a team of exceptional software engineers and technical leaders and be a strong technical mentor
  • Work cross functionally with Data Scientists, PM and TPM partners to execute on defense and offense initiatives for client performance and reliability.
  • Build cutting edge tooling to detect, group and root cause PRE issues at scale.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong computer science fundamentals and technical skills
  • Proficient in making data-driven decisions in complex technical problems.
  • Ability to lead and represent the team's goals and projects with cross-functional business partners and leaders


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in software development.
  • You have 2+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
  • BS/BA degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent years of experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience working in software engineering
  • Experience working on iOS and/or Android apps with focus on performance.

Compensation
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
Zone A (CA, WA, NYC) :
The base salary range for this position is $222,000-$333,000 annually.
Zone B :
The base salary range for this position is $211,000-$316,000 annually.
Zone C :
The base salary range for this position is $189,000-$283,000 annually.
This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
