Job Summary:

Blavity Inc. seeks a Manager, Performance Marketing Campaign to develop, execute, and optimize performance marketing campaigns that drive ticket sales, memberships, and engagement for live events. The Performance Campaign Manager position is a (W2) Contractor. This role supports engagement and marketing for a portfolio of live events, including AfroTech Conference, Blavity events, and our membership platform. You’ll be responsible for crafting and executing comprehensive email and paid marketing programs that captivate our audience and drive event ticket sales.

This role will focus on paid media, email strategy, conversion optimization, and audience targeting strategies to maximize ROI and enhance customer acquisition efforts.

The ideal candidate will be an expert in data-driven marketing, customer journey mapping, and audience segmentation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including creative, content, and analytics, to execute performance-driven campaigns across multiple channels.

This position reports directly to the VP of Brand Development & Strategy, Live Events.

Contractors will be responsible for providing their own equipment, including but not limited to laptop computers, cell phones, or any other electronic equipment required to perform their role.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute digital marketing strategies to drive ticket sales and customer acquisition for live events and membership programs.
  • Project manage paid media campaigns across multiple platforms, including Meta, Google, LinkedIn, and programmatic display networks in collaboration with our in-house departments.
  • Optimize campaigns to improve conversion rates, enhance customer acquisition, and drive revenue growth.
  • Lead CRO (conversion rate optimization) efforts, including A/B testing and landing page optimization to improve user experience and campaign efficiency.
  • Leverage data analytics to track campaign performance, measure ROI, and refine marketing strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with creative and content teams to develop compelling ad creatives, email messaging, and audience targeting strategies.
  • Manage performance marketing budgets, ensuring maximum ROI while meeting revenue and growth targets.
  • Implement audience segmentation and retargeting strategies to nurture leads and increase customer retention.
  • Generate reports and insights on campaign effectiveness, making data-driven recommendations for future marketing initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in performance marketing, paid media strategy, or growth marketing with a strong emphasis on conversion optimization.
  • Expertise in paid media platforms (Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Ads, etc.) and marketing analytics tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret data and optimize campaign performance.
  • Experience with A/B testing, landing page optimization, and CRO best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with audience segmentation, retargeting, and lead nurturing strategies.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple campaigns simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for digital marketing, audience engagement, and leveraging data to drive decisions.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude; ongoing passion to adjust marketing strategies to stay relevant and improve performance
  • A healthy appreciation of GIFs and Black culture

Details: 

  • This is a fully remote, U.S.- based role. Occasional travel may be required. 
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Candidates must be available to work in 100% alignment with the Pacific Time Zone. 
  • The hourly rate is $60 for an average of 29 hours per week.
