We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented industry marketing and events professional who is passionate about creating engaging experiences that bring brands and communities together. This role supports a range of marketing initiatives — from industry conferences and sponsorship activations to client meetings and curated hospitality experiences — helping drive meaningful engagement with Zeta’s customers and prospects. The ideal candidate will be both creatively driven and operationally strong, with a focus on executing marketing programs that help grow and connect Zeta to it’s Activation customers.  

In this role, you will support the planning and execution of high-value customer engagement opportunities around key industry events and marketing initiatives, including industry conferences, client entertaining, networking experiences, and one-to-one meetings for Zeta’s Activation team. You will partner closely with marketing and sales to help develop and execute integrated programs that drive brand awareness, strengthen client relationships, and contribute to pipeline generation, including support for Zeta’s annual conference, Zeta Live. 

To be successful in this role, you will be someone who takes initiative, is comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously, and builds strong cross-functional relationships in a fast-paced organization. The role requires a proactive team player who can balance creative thinking with strong execution, supporting a growing marketing technology company while maintaining the high standards required for exceptional client and partner experiences. 

*This person will report directly to the Director, Field Marketing & Events for the Activation business unit.  

Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end event execution — from venue selection and logistics to onsite management and post-event wrap-up
  • Support the planning and execution of marketing initiatives in collaboration with the events and sales teams to maximize engagement and impact around key industry events
  • Assist in the execution of key industry tentpole events and sponsorship activations across the advertising and marketing ecosystem
  • Provide exceptional white-glove client service to Activation’s customers and prospects, serving as a key point of contact throughout the event planning cycle
  • Conceptualize, plan, and execute exclusive hospitality experiences that support industry events, ensuring programs are delivered on schedule, within budget, and with excellent attention to detail
  • Support the Activation customer and prospect experience across major events from initial outreach through onsite engagement
  • Manage external relationships (vendors, venues, agencies, and media partners) to ensure seamless execution and maximum value from event investments
  • Partner with internal marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure event activations align with broader marketing and revenue objectives
  • Track program performance against defined metrics and support post-event analysis to measure success and return on investment in partnership with marketing operations
  • Maintain and update the annual industry event calendar and event roadmap
  • Create, maintain, and reconcile detailed event budgets from initial forecast through final actuals
  • Review, process, and code vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner in coordination with Finance
  • Ensure all vendor contracts, SOWs, and W-9s are submitted and approved prior to invoice processing 

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree with 5+ years of event or field marketing experiencepreferably within the advertising, media, or adtech industry
  • Strong understanding of advertising industry conferences, sponsorships, and brand activations that support marketing and sales initiatives
  • Exemplary communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams and external partners
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage timelines and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience managing multiple event and marketing programs simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience supporting thought leadership opportunities and event programming at industry events is a plus
  • A positive mindset with an enthusiastic and proactive spirit
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support event execution

SALARY RANGE

The salary range for this role is $110,000 - $125,000, depending on location and experience.
