FMX is hiring a Manager of Engineering to guide and mentor a team of engineers towards success by growing and coaching them both personally and professionally, and ensuring that their experience as employees and engineers is world class. You'll participate in team-level strategy, helping to influence the direction of our department, our product, and our company. Requirements

What are we looking for in this role?:

  • 5+ years in a technical leadership or management role
  • Familiarity with multiple programming languages or technologies
  • Working knowledge of at least one automated testing framework
  • Experience with native or multi-platform mobile applications is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects that are at different stages of development
  • Current working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or Shape Up software development lifecycles

Tech Stack: React Native, Blazor, .NET, C#, MS SQL, Azure, Prismatic for customer specific integrations

The hiring process for this role:

  • Apply! Submit your resume, portfolio link, and answers to the application questions below via the Workable portal. 
  • Phone screen with the Talent team: A 30-minute conversation to review your background and experiences, discuss the culture at FMX, and ensure that you understand the general expectations for the role. Also, a great time for you to ask questions about compensation, benefits, etc.  
  • Career Deep Dive Interview:  A 1-hour interview with the Director of Engineering. Also, a great time for you to ask questions about the expectations for this role, team culture, etc.
  • Peer interview: A 60-minute peer interview with the Engineering Management team.
    • Questions for you from the team on your background, as well as time to discuss the day-to-day responsibilities and team culture.
  • Offer & Onboarding: Candidates who receive an offer will be required to complete a background check prior to onboarding. New hires are also expected to work onsite at our Columbus, OH office during their first week to complete onboarding and connect with the team in person.

Compensation:

  • We will offer a base salary and a company performance bonus.

Other considerations: This role can be performed from anywhere in the U.S., with core collaboration hours aligned to Eastern Time.
