Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to take on the role of Manager for the Video Streaming Backend team. As a Manager, that is technical leader on the Xumo Software Engineering Team, you will lead the development and optimization of the backend infrastructure powering our video streaming services. This role requires you to handle and process video content from various partners, to ensure seamless delivery of high-quality video streams to millions of viewers across streaming devices. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in backend server development and architecture, particularly in video streaming technologies, and strong ability to build the team culture and solving technical challenges that meets business requirements. You will collaborate closely with product and operations teams to ensure the platform remains scalable, highly reliable, and performant. Responsible for managing the daily and overall work processes and practical implementation of relevant standards within one or more assigned areas of the Engineering department. Monitors assigned areas of the Engineering families to ensure adherence to relevant standards. Ensures all work processes are efficient and consistent in their daily application. Identifies flaws in the work process and recommends solutions. Manages direct and dotted line reports and works on cross-functional teams. Coordinates complex and multi-disciplined engineering projects from design to implementation in accordance with the company's policies.
