Location/Division Specific Information:Our proteomic sciences solutions are transforming the understanding of human diseases through advanced protein biomarker discovery. With our innovative Olink solutions – including highly specific and validated assays that cover more than 5,000 proteins – our colleagues and technology empower scientists in groundbreaking research that will play a pivotal role in the future of personalized medicine.
Discover Impactful Work:Due to our growth we are looking for an experienced manager in data science to take responsibility for a newly formed team in our Data Science Department within our RnD function. The talented team focus on using novel technology, including AI and machine learning, in close collaboration with our software development teams to get highest possible value out of our data and provide new solutions for our customers. You will take on full managerial responsibility for this team and make sure they have all they need to excel in their roles. You will be reporting directly to our Director of Data & Analytics.
A day in the Life:Lead and develop the team.
Drive innovation and change through novel digital technologies in our RnD processes.
Contribute to and implement technical strategies.
Contribute to continuous improvement of processes to ensure structure, quality and efficiency.
Plan and prioritize projects and activities to deliver according to agreed priorities and timelines.
Facilitate communication and collaboration across teams and functions.
Establish and improve work processes, structure and documentation.
Ensure great onboarding and training of new team members.
Have one-on-one calls with the team members.
Develop personal growth opportunities.
Set job expectations and objectives - plan, monitor, and appraise job results.
Be responsible for budget, FTE forecasting and personnel.
MSc (or PhD) in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Molecular Biology or similar.
At least 8 years of relevant industry or academic experience of advanced data analysis and/or software development.
Industry experience, preferably from the Life Science sector.
Documented leadership experience of both team and projects.
Experience from at least one of the following areas: proteomics, genomics, AI/ML, data science and advanced analytics.
Experience from designing or building scalable and modern analytics solutions.
Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
Strong analytical mind and an interest in modern data science practices.
Innovative and passionate about transformation through novel technologies.
Demonstrated strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Strong organizational skills and interest in process development.
Interest in developing employees, teams and processes.
Ability to listen, motivate and empower employees.
Integrity and ability to be pragmatic.
Enjoy working in a collaborative, multicultural, international environment.
Motivated by working in an agile and rapidly changing environment with high quality deliverables.
