Role Overview

The Manager, Community Marketing will own the strategy and execution of Modern Animal’s local and field marketing efforts across markets. This role is responsible for building and managing relationships with local partners, activating community-based growth channels, and ensuring consistent, high-quality execution of events and grassroots initiatives.

This is a highly autonomous role suited for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, is deeply organized, and can independently manage multiple partnerships and activations at once.

Key Responsibilities

Community & Partnership Strategy

  • Develop and execute local marketing strategies across clinics and markets
  • Build and manage partnerships with shelters/rescues, local businesses, apartment communities, and beyond
  • Identify new opportunities to drive awareness and member acquisition at the local level

Events & Activations

  • Plan and execute local events, pop-ups, and community activations
  • Ensure events are well-organized, on-brand, and deliver against acquisition and awareness goals
  • Manage logistics, materials, and on-site execution

Field Team Management

  • Recruit, train, and manage brand ambassadors for event staffing as needed
  • Ensure consistency in brand representation across all field efforts

Relationship Management

  • Own partner relationships end-to-end, acting as the primary point of contact
  • Maintain strong, ongoing relationships that drive repeat and scalable opportunities

Performance Tracking

  • Track and report on performance of community initiatives (leads, bookings, ROI where applicable)
  • Continuously optimize programs based on performance and learnings
Qualifications
  • 4–7 years of experience in community, partnerships, or brand marketing
  • Proven ability to manage multiple partnerships and projects simultaneously
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Self-starter who can operate independently with minimal oversight
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Experience managing events and/or field teams preferred

The pay range for this position is listed below; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and equity grant units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the California Pay Transparency Act. Base pay information is based on geographic location.

Salary Range
$93,000$157,000 USD
