We are seeking a Manager, Community Engagement to join FoundationCCC in its mission of benefiting, supporting, and enhancing the California Community Colleges—the largest and most diverse system of higher education in the nation. Together, we are building stronger communities by getting students and colleges the resources they need to succeed and expanding pathways to economic and social mobility across California. What You’ll Do

The LAUNCH Apprenticeship Network is a member of the Collaborative Impact team of the Foundation for California Community Colleges and supports meaningful connections between students and employers in California through work-based learning and support services. Our role is to support efforts to bring relevancy and real-world experience to students in California through growing the quantity and quality of work-based learning, with an emphasis on registered apprenticeship, but also includes job shadowing, classroom presentations, internships, and other job training opportunities. 

The Manager, Community Engagement will be responsible for building and strengthening LAUNCH’s statewide network of community-based organizations (CBOs) and stakeholders to ensure candidates and apprentices have access to wraparound support services

  • Prioritize outreach to new CBOs statewide to establish a comprehensive support network for candidates and apprentices.

  • Lead event planning and outreach strategies in partnership with LAUNCH Regional Apprenticeship Managers. 

  • Establish best practices for intake, ensuring responsive and culturally competent approaches for underrepresented groups, opportunity youth, and those facing barriers to employment. 
  • Identify, secure, and manage funding opportunities that support sustainable, scalable models for community outreach and support services for candidates and apprentices. 
Attributes for Success 
  • Experience in state and/or federal grant management to included budget management, allocation, reporting and success workplan deliverables completion.

  • Must be a self-starter, quick learner, problem solver, and highly motivated and able to work on a fast-paced team.

  • Experience and ability to develop and implement strategic plans.

  • Innovation, creativity, collaboration, and entrepreneurship are encouraged as employees work to achieve organizational goals

Budgeted Annual Salary Pay Range:

$100,000.00 - $110,000.00

Final salary and rates are based on education, experience, skills relevant to the role, and internal equity.
