This position is for a First-Line Manager responsible for leading new business and proposal efforts for the Avionics Program, with accountability for on-time performance and profit/loss results. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to clearly convey ideas, engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, and foster collaborative working relationships across the enterprise. This position will also work closely with airline customers, sales teams, and other customer-facing stakeholders to support business objectives and customer needs. - Lead project management specialists supporting Avionics programs
- Supervise employees performing business management activities within the Project Management function
- Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures, and establish operational goals
- Secure resources for projects and processes, provide technical oversight of suppliers, and lead process improvement initiatives
- Develop and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports
- Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes
- Establish Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) goals and develop a PMBP improvement plan

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership
- Bachelor's degree required
- 10 + years' relevant work experience
- Experience in contracts and proposals
- Prior experience with project management
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- PMP certification preferred
- Prior experience within commercial aviation, specifically avionics systems
- Prior people management experience
- MBA or equivalents leadership degree
