The Manager, Accounts Receivable supporting the Game Show Group is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end accounts ensuring the timely and accurate billing, collection, cash application, credit management, and reporting of receivables while maintaining strong internal controls and exceptional customer service. The Manager partners closely with Finance, Accounting, Sales and external customers to optimize cash flow, minimize credit risk, and support the organization's financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day Accounts Receivable activities for:
- Game Show Network
- Game Show Central Diginet
- getTV
- Sony Movie Channel
- Cine Sony
- Ensure the accurate and timely preparation, processing, and distribution of customer invoices and billing reports through electronic delivery.
- Oversee daily cash application activities by monitoring bank transactions and accurately applying receipts to customer accounts or recording unapplied cash as appropriate.
- Process credit memos, adjustments, write-offs, and other account transactions in accordance with company policies and internal controls.
- Maintain organized supporting documentation for cash receipts, billing, and customer account activity.
- Review credit reports and evaluate the creditworthiness of prospective and existing customers in accordance with established company policies.
- Determine appropriate credit terms, including recommending cash-in-advance requirements when necessary.
- Monitor customer aging reports and proactively manage collection efforts to reduce delinquent balances.
- Communicate directly with customers regarding outstanding balances, resolve billing disputes, negotiate payment arrangements, and document collection activities.
- Escalate significant collection issues to Sales and Finance leadership and recommend appropriate courses of action.
- Coordinate with third-party collection partners, including Worldlink, for Paid Programming collections and legacy receivables.
- Prepare and distribute weekly, monthly, and ad hoc Accounts Receivable reports.
- Review monthly aging reports to identify collection trends, payment risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Escalate to Sales and Finance as needed and recommend next steps
- Provide guidance and day-to-day support to employees assisting with Accounts Receivable functions.
- Train team members on systems, policies, and best practices to ensure consistent execution and high-quality customer service.
- Support special projects, audits, system implementations, and process enhancement initiatives as assigned.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Experience
- 5+ years of progressive Accounts Receivable, Credit, Collections, or Accounting experience.
- Experience supporting advertising, media, broadcast, or entertainment industries is highly desirable.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
