As the Manager – Accounting (IPA), you will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations of the company, reporting to the Director - Accounting. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and conduct insightful financial analysis. Working closely with the Director - Accounting and cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the financial planning process, help maintain a robust financial control environment and contribute to the assessment and implementation of new financial systems and processes. What You'll Do
- Direct management and development of a team of accountants.
- Review IPA/RKK related journal entries: capitation, claims, risk pools, AR/AP, and accrual related entries.
- Review, maintain and reconcile the general ledger on a monthly basis; prepare monthly balance sheet analyses for multiple assigned entities.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close.
- Work closely with the reporting team to provide accurate and timely information for SEC filing and to the external auditors
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with U.S. GAAP
- Manage internal and external ad-hoc requests
- Work with external auditors to provide support as requested
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA required
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Solid understanding of GAAP, as well as industry-specific accounting practices related to healthcare.
- Proficiency with accounting software, preferably Sage and advanced MS Office Suite skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions
- Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where the expectation is to work both in office and at home on a weekly basis. The office is located at 1668 S Garfield Avenue, Alhambra, CA 91801
- The total compensation target pay range for this role is: $130,000 - $145,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location (current or future), experience, and other job-related factors.
