About the Role:
The Manager, Account Management is responsible for managing a group of clients and owns the success over an industry vertical encompassing a large portfolio of accounts. This includes supervising and working towards the career development of the account management team, providing support to the operations team and reporting to clients as needed. They are encouraged to build operational efficiency amongst their team, set and implement strategic initiatives, and demonstrate strong management and team development capabilities.
What the Candidate Will Do:
- Proactively identify and communicate issues, propose and implement solutions for continuous improvement regarding processes, cost, service, and profitability
- Work across functions to continually seek new solutions for team efficiency and customer logistics challenges
- Responsible for training and career development of direct reports (including 1 on 1’s, coaching, sequential performance reviews and mentoring)
- Develop and distribute customer reports and internal performance management reports
- Drive forward the future vision of Uber Freight with our product team and help sell that vision to our customers

- Monitor and hold team accountable for all key job functions
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with all internal and external customers through professional and timely communications and inquiry responses
- Leverage knowledge and understanding of Modes, Rates, Weights, Volumes, Pallets, etc. based on Customer's shipping requirements
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, logistics, or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Management experience
- Transportation industry knowledge, including key terminology
- Advanced knowledge in modes of transportation, financial processes and P&L responsibilities
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Tableau desired

Illinois: The target compensation for this position is $73,800-90,000
