We’re looking for a Deep Learning Intern for our Generative AI team.
What You’ll Do:
End-to-end machine learning model development including research, design, data preprocessing, training and benchmarking
Build deep learning models for image/video understanding, generation, transformation and prepare these models for deployment to be used by millions of Snapchatters throughout the world
Partner with machine learning engineers, software engineers, and research engineers to develop new technology to delight Snapchatters
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Understanding of ML theory and knowledge of math used in ML algorithms
Knowledge of widely used and state-of-the-art ML approaches for computer vision Generative AI (diffusion models, LLMs, vision transformers) and/or efficient ML (quantization, pruning, distillation, efficient architectures)
Understanding of 3D rendering, Gaussian Splatting or NeRF technologies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A drive to learn new technologies and techniques
Minimum Qualifications:
Enrolled in Masters program for Computer Science or another related field with a graduation date no earlier than December 2026
Internship or academic experience in research or ML engineering
1+ years of experience using Python
Must be available to start in office in for a 13-week internship that begins in May or June 2026
Preferred Qualifications:
Enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program with a focus on deep learning, computer vision, generative AI, or other relevant field
Examples of deep learning projects for generative AI, video understanding and generation
Publications to top machine learning conferences
Experience working with cloud based systems (AWS/GCP)
Experience with diffusion models and related architectures
