ROLE OVERVIEW
This role is a strategic leader responsible for shaping, defining, and enabling our Life Sciences solutions in the market. By combining the external orientation of a Solutions Consultant with the ownership mindset of a Product Owner, the role ensures that our solutions are differentiated, aligned to customer needs, and positioned for growth.
This role will partner closely with the Service Line General Manager, Sales, Delivery, and Marketing leadership, as well as Product Management, overseeing development. Together, they will ensure our roadmap reflects business priorities and customer feedback, with the Product Manager leading execution, and this role ensuring market fit, commercial impact, and service line alignment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership & Market Alignment
· Serve as a core member of the Life Sciences Service Line executive team, advising on market trends, competitive intelligence, and solution strategy.
· Define and maintain the Life Sciences solutions portfolio, ensuring offerings are differentiated, scalable, and aligned with client priorities.
· Translate service line capabilities into go-to-market assets, customer stories, and executive-level narratives.
Commercial & Sales Enablement
· Act as the Life Sciences Service Line’s subject matter expert for sales pursuits, RFPs, and strategic account growth.
· Build and deliver enablement programs, demos, and collateral that help Sales and Account Management effectively position solutions.
· Support revenue growth by ensuring solution positioning and messaging resonate with target customers and markets.
Product Ownership & Development Partnership
· Act as the voice of the customer within the Life Sciences Service Line, gathering and prioritizing requirements from clients, Sales, and Delivery.
· Partner closely with Product Management to align roadmap priorities with business strategy; ensure development efforts directly support market needs and revenue growth.
· Develop business cases, ROI models, and commercial rationale for proposed solution enhancements.
· Track adoption and outcomes of new features/solutions, ensuring continuous improvement.
Collaboration & Influence
· Work hand-in-hand with Marketing to create thought leadership, campaigns, and positioning for the Life Sciences Service Line.
· Partner with Delivery leaders to ensure operational readiness and scalable implementation of solutions.
· Act as the bridge between Life Sciences strategy, customer needs, and Product Management execution.
Success Measures
· Growth of Life Sciences Service Line revenue and market share.
· Increased win rates and penetration in target accounts.
· Roadmap clarity and alignment across the exec team, Product, and Sales.
· Strong internal reputation as the strategic owner of Life Sciences solutions.
· Generate measurable adoption.
· Maintained roadmap that is aligned across Sales, Service Line leadership, and Product Management.
· Accountable as the bridge between service line strategy, customer voice, and product development.
Ideal Candidate Profile
· 7+ years in Solutions, Product Management, Consulting, or Service Line leadership in Life Sciences services.
· Proven track record of influencing at the executive level and shaping solution strategy.
· Strong business acumen and deep understanding of customer buying behaviors in Life Sciences services (Pharma and CRO) or related industries.
· Excellent executive communication skills; ability to simplify complexity into compelling narratives.
· Experience working closely with Product Managers and technical teams while holding accountability for commercial outcomes.
· Comfortable working in a global, matrixed, fast-moving organization.
