We’re actively seeking a talented Marketing Strategist to join our Marketing Strategy Team in in the Consumer Markets Division. This role is hybrid (4 days in the office per week) at our state-of-the art Newport Beach headquarters.

As a Life Insurance Marketing Strategist, you’ll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by developing comprehensive marketing strategies to generate leads, drive engagement, and increase market share for life insurance products. Your colleagues will include other Marketing Strategists, Relationship Managers, , Creative Services, Digital Execution, and other marketing experts. You will be partnering with many functional areas within the Consumer Markets Division to ensure the successful delivery of both product and concept marketing campaigns and materials.

How you’ll help move us forward:

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies and campaigns that advanced life insurance concepts, support product launches, enhancements, rate changes, sales initiatives, and lead generation goals, leveraging audience insights to drive measurable results.

  • Create compelling product positioning and value propositions that differentiate Pacific Life’s life insurance solutions and effectively communicate their value to financial professionals and consumers.

  • Foster strong, collaborative relationships with Product, Product Intelligence, Advanced Design Unit, and Relationship Marketing teams to pitch ideas, share insights, and ensure our marketing strategies resonate with target audiences.

  • Develop campaign strategies, creative briefs, and project plans that guide the creation of brochures, presentations, bulletins, webpages, emails, videos, blogs, and other marketing materials.

  • Review marketing content to ensure it simplifies complex financial topics for financial professionals and consumers, meets quality standards, and reflects stakeholder input. Collaborate with the Data Analytics team to assess campaign performance and provide valuable insights for enhancing future campaigns.

  • Conduct thorough content reviews to support effective project management execution.

  • Act as the representative of the marketing department in product/project launch meetings, ensuring alignment and successful implementation.

  • Keep stakeholders informed with regular updates on campaign progress, demonstrating accountability, and transparency.

  • Deeply understand your target audiences and their needs and use those insights to create measurable lead generation marketing campaigns.

  • Draft email journeys that support campaign goals and guide audiences through a clear, connected experience.

  • Proactively explore and implement AI solutions that enhance productivity, improve workflows, and help deliver greater value to the business

The experience you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a similar field.

  • Experience working in the financial services industry, other highly regulated industry, or Marketing agency.

  • Demonstrated 4+ years of experience in marketing, product positioning, campaign development, or a similar role.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe software with a willingness to learn new software as needed for the role.

  • Strong inclination towards collaboration and a demonstrated ability to think creatively.

  • Experience managing deadlines and juggling shifting priorities.

  • Familiarity with storytelling techniques, journey mapping, and audience segmentation.

What makes you stand out:

  • Proven success in product marketing for B2B brand, especially life insurance, financial services, or another non-tangible product or service.

  • Exceptional project management and organization skills.

  • Experience using Monday.com and Adobe Workfront.

  • Skilled at providing clear, complete directions that help execution teams translate complex topics into audience-friendly messaging. Experience transforming product positioning into marketing positioning.

  • FINRA Series 6; Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU); Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI); or other industry certification.

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$84,870.00 - $103,730.00
