The role:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented professional with a strong analytical and strategic background to join our Loans Platform Business team. The Lending Portfolio Analyst will be responsible for in-depth analysis of portfolio trends, identifying opportunities for P&L optimization, and translating complex data into actionable insights through advanced data visualization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in financial analysis, a passion for data-driven decision-making, and expertise in leveraging analytics to enhance portfolio returns while managing business risks. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Data Analysis: 
    • Utilize standard and non-traditional analytical techniques to segment the loan portfolio, analyze performance trends, and predict potential credit risks and opportunities. 
    • Develop and maintain forecasting models to estimate portfolio growth, losses, and revenue.

Performance Reporting and Monitoring:

    • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor and effectively communicate portfolio performance, key risk indicators, and strategic insights to senior management. 
    • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to lending volumes, conversion rates, and investor requirements
    • Prepare and present regular reports to stakeholders, highlighting performance metrics and areas for improvement.
  • Portfolio Strategy & Insights: 
    • Analyze datasets to uncover actionable insights and recommend program changes. 
    • Provide data-driven recommendations to inform program strategies and product optimization opportunities.
    • Develop and implement optimization strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the application funnel.

Support New Partnerships and Initiatives:

    • Utilize influence and persuasion to garner support for business objectives, revenue opportunities, and execution plans.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development and implementation of new partnerships and initiatives.
    • Provide strategic guidance and support to ensure successful execution of approved projects.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Portfolio Analyst, Data Analyst, or in a similar role within the lending or financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in P&L analysis and a strong understanding of the financial drivers of a lending portfolio.
  • Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau and data analysis languages like SQL, Python, or R.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a proven ability to work with large and complex datasets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to connect data analysis to business outcomes and strategic recommendations and a track record of driving results.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions, including marketing, engineering, product management, risk, pricing, finance, and operations.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the financial services industry.
Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
