Enervee empowers consumers to make better energy-related buying decisions – from choosing the most energy efficient consumer products to investing in solar and EVs. Enervee pioneered the use of choice engines in the energy industry, and we’re at the forefront of using new data, software technology and behavioral insights – coupled with state-of-the-art digital marketing – to transform how utilities engage their customers and how all of us shop.

Enervee seeks a savvy Utility Regulatory Affairs Lead to shape regulatory and legislative policy that advances the market for clean energy, drives utility investment in Enervee’s innovative products & services and ensures that Enervee can continue to meet contractual obligations and scale utility programs going forward. You will report to the SVP of Market Development and work closely with Enervee’s Growth team.

What you’ll be doing

  • Regulatory opportunity & risk assessment. Anticipate and respond in a timely fashion to regulatory developments by keeping your finger on the pulse of the ever-evolving landscape of stakeholders, regulators and utilities in jurisdictions where Enervee currently operates. Streamline provision of relevant regulatory & policy inputs needed by other Enervee teams.
  • External facing advocacy. Intervene in regulatory proceedings that have the potential to adversely or favorably impact Enervee program valuation, cost-effectiveness and viability, in cooperation with utility partners and leveraging industry associations. Rely on Enervee’s Program Optimization & Impact Lead for technical support on deemed savings, cost-effectiveness and evaluation.
  • Sales & partner success support. Working closely with Enervee team leads for current and prospective utility partners, leverage regulatory insights to win new business, maintain value-added utility partner relationships and effectively participate in regulatory proceedings of mutual interest. Ensure that multi-year utility plans and reports accommodate or reference Enervee’s programs and keep sales abreast of related planning cycles.
