About the Role

Sidecar Health is looking for a highly motivated Manager to join our Regulatory Affairs team.  This role will be tasked with coordinating, preparing and maintaining regulatory filings and submissions for multiple health insurance products across multiple jurisdictions.  In addition, this individual will be charged with project managing strict regulatory deadlines and deliverables, to include, but not be limited to, overseeing multi-faceted strategic plans, timelines, reporting/tracking requirements, and ensuring compliance with state and federal insurance product filing requirements, objection/comment responses, and policy fulfillment objectives.

This role will work closely with and support the Regulatory Affairs attorneys across all lines of business, to include, but not be limited to Fixed Indemnity, the Affordable Care Act, and Administrative Services Only products. 

Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter, with an ability to handle the day-to-day administrative oversight required of the role, and in parallel, will be a strategic thought partner who is able to see the big picture and incorporate problem solving, critical thinking and tactical execution into their daily work.

What You'll Do 

  • Develop and manage regulatory filing tracker and reporting systems to effectively organize and communicate insurance filing deadlines and obligations of the Regulatory Affairs team
  • Develop and manage policy document filing systems, portfolios, resources and workflows for quick retrieval by the Regulatory Affairs team and for sharing with other business stakeholders
  • Demonstrate sharp attention to detail in executing and reviewing work products to ensure the highest quality deliverables in the allotted timeframe
  • Collaborate cross-functional level responses to objections/inquiries from federal and state regulatory agencies
  • Lead multiple work streams to execute against Regulatory Affairs product filing plans
  • Integrate and synthesize information from multiple sources, including external and internal, to improve tracking, reporting, and filing systems
  • Assist as needed in preparing and submitting regulatory product filings to federal and state insurance regulators
  • Work closely with Legal Operations to oversee regulatory intake, response and triage of requests from the business and external sources
  • Manage plan, product and policy fulfillment quality oversight and review
  • Work closely with other members of the legal, regulatory, compliance, actuarial and business teams

What You'll Bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Technology, Healthcare or a related field
  • A minimum of 2-4 years’ experience working as a regulatory manager, paralegal at a top-tier law firm or similar experience as a program/project manager
  • Experience with regulatory and compliance matters affecting the health insurance industry
  • Experience with the Microsoft Suite and collaboration tools/cloud services
  • Experience interacting with Regulatory bodies and/or working with regulatory portals and filing/tracking systems
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking and reporting skills
  • Attention to detail and excellent writing skills are required
  • Ability to handle pressure and prioritize multiple competing projects with many moving pieces
