Mythical Games is looking for a dynamic and well-rounded Corporate Counsel to be a key member of our rapidly growing company and Legal team. As Corporate Counsel, you will have a ground level opportunity to join a cutting edge blockchain based gaming company and lead and support its various complex and evolving corporate and compliance needs.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Company’s primary corporate counsel, reporting into the Chief Legal Officer.
• Responsible for handling or supporting (along with outside corporate and regulatory counsel) all corporate legal work, including corporate maintenance and administration, M&A, securities, and regulatory/compliance matters.
• Lead, manage, and continue to build compliance function and internal policies.
• Work closely with company leaders in other disciplines, including other members of the Legal team, Trust and Safety, Finance and HR, as well as outside corporate and securities counsel.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 years of corporate legal experience, including large corporate law firm experience handling M&A, securities law, and corporate maintenance and compliance work.
• Experience with matters, laws and regulations relating to blockchain, cryptocurrency, tokens and decentralized finance is a huge plus.
• Experience in KYC/AML, and sanctions legal and compliance domains.
• Interest in gaming and innovative and disruptive new technologies.
• Ability to work independently to manage workload and work collaboratively with and concisely distill advice from outside experts.
• Demonstrated judgment, personal integrity and inter-personal skills.
• Exceptional initiative and proven ability to work efficiently and effectively in a collegial and fast-paced environment.
• Strong academic credentials and licensed to practice law in California or Washington.
