As a full stack developer in the Advisor Workstation team, you will be working in the client services team providing high-level support to our customers by addressing their day-to-day issues with cutting-edge engineering solutions. In this role, you will:
  • Observe and Understand: Monitor and analyze the nature of client issues reported pertaining to the modules you own. Establish patterns and develop an intuition for systemic solutions.
  • Fix and Develop: Undertake tactical fixes while also developing long-term solutions to address recurring issues.
  • Architect and Propose: Design and propose module features that go beyond solving immediate issues. Explore and implement industry-leading approaches to push the boundaries of service forward by partnering with development teams.
  • Research and Solve: Conduct research to understand the root causes of issues and develop innovative solutions, alongside module owners.
  • Cycle Back to Observe: Continuously monitor the effectiveness of implemented solutions and refine them as needed.

Additionally, you will:
  • Build and deploy well-designed, well-engineered, stable, scalable solutions following established guidelines through peer reviews for design and code, unit test results, and deployment processes.
  • Analyze and remediate production issues and build instrumentation and operational readiness into the systems architecture.
  • Manage development projects through the whole project life cycle.
  • Apply DevOps practices in continuous and automated deployment.
  • Mentor and lead other members of the development team, guiding them in delivering solutions and resolving technical problems.
  • Solve advisor problems with technology, understand market chaos at work, and craft technically sound solutions that will meet the needs of the enterprise and individual advisors.
  • Follow software design best practices such as continuous integration, test-driven development, and regular deployments.

This position is based in our Chicago office. This role follows a hybrid policy of 4 days onsite (Monday - Thursday) and 1-day remote work.
Job Requirements:
  • Completed Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience developing software solutions
  • Building backends in C#, .NET, .NET Core is a must.
  • Experience building applications in AWS (ECS, Lambda, Glue Jobs, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, ELB, CloudFront, Route53) is a must.
  • Experience building web applications using modern web UI frameworks like Vue.js/React/Angular (preferably Vue.js)
  • Experience implementing RESTful APIs and microservices
  • Hands on experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases (preferably MS SQL, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL).
  • Experience with modern development practices in areas of product design, requirement analysis, test driven development, and test automation.
  • Experience in analysis, design, coding, and implementation of multi-tiered applications
  • Experience with Infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, CFT, CDK
  • Experience working in a collaborative and agile environment such as Scrum
  • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills

Good to Have:
  • Knowledge and experience with AI and Machine Learning tools
  • Knowledge of networking and authentication fundamentals (TCP/IP, TLS 1.2, SAML 2.0, OIDC)
  • Experience with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot, Python, Node
  • AWS Certification
  • Experience with DevOps engineering concepts and tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Harness, Jenkins, Nexus, etc.,
  • Knowledge of APM Tools NewRelic, Splunk, Google Looker Studio
  • Exposure to Financial Services and Capital Market domain

Base Salary Compensation Range
$96,326.00 - 163,761.00 USD Annual
Total Cash Compensation Range
$110,775.00 - 188,325.00 USD Annual
