About this role:
Wells Fargo's Supply Chain Finance Group ("SCF") supports companies with a broad range of supply chain solutions, including trade and receivables products, which provide a holistic approach to an enterprise's working capital risk mitigation and financing needs. SCF is seeking a dynamic, results oriented, Lead Secured Lending Underwriter. Job will encompass a variety of secured lending financings including Key Accounts Purchase Programs (KAP), Supplier Finance Programs (SF), factoring and ABL facilities, and Accounts Receivable Securitization Facilities (ARS). In this role, you will:
  • Lead underwriting process to meet project deliverables, including coordination with multiple stakeholders. Leverage solid understanding of secured lending underwriting functional areas, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Specific actions will include:
    • Lead the credit underwriting of corporate financial counterparties.
    • Present all information in concise and clear format for credit approval. Actively engage with credit approvers and other key stakeholders during the credit approval process. Champion deals throughout the underwriting deal lifecycle.
    • Manage client and internal constituents' expectations throughout the approval and loan closing process.
    • In conjunction with legal counsel, lead the structuring and negotiation of legal documentation.
    • Ensure proper risk ratings, oversee compliance and third-party diligence activities including collateral examinations, appraisals, and other business/contract diligence.
    • For applicable credits, lead the structuring and completion of the ARS servicer report model in conformity with S&P Trade Receivables Securitization Criteria.
  • Collaborate closely with the originations and portfolio teams to ensure steady information flow and smooth transitions.
  • Collaborate and consult with underwriting peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
  • Lead secured lending underwriting projects and teams. Serve as a mentor to junior teammates.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Secured Lending Underwriting experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience with securitization or asset based lending
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills
  • Strong analytical skills, with heightened attention to detail and accuracy, recognizing importance of data integrity and adherence to credit policies and procedures
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and clients
  • Working knowledge of various secured lending programs and structures

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
Salary is just one component of Wells Fargo's total rewards package. Depending on the role, a Wells Fargo's employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
$139,000.00 - $239,000.00
