AnySignal is a startup whose mission is to usher in the next generation of RF products and services. For the most demanding space and defense missions, AnySignal provides a flexible platform with world-class performance that is easy to deploy, monitor, purchase, and upgrade.

Our team has a diverse range of backgrounds that cover cloud computing to artificial intelligence, communications and sensing, embedded systems, and much more.

We are seeking a Lead Recruiter where you’ll be the architect and executor of our talent strategy. You’ll own the entire hiring lifecycle: generating top-of-funnel activity, personally sourcing and nurturing candidates, guiding hiring managers through the process, and closing top-tier talent in competitive markets. You’ll also oversee onboarding, offboarding, and help shape our People org as we scale.

If you thrive in fast-paced environments, love chasing needle-in-a-haystack talent, and can craft a compelling story about our mission, this seat is yours.

Responsibilities

  • Full-Cycle Hiring Ownership: Build and run the end-to-end recruitment process for technical and non-technical roles. From outbound sourcing and screening to offer negotiation and onboarding - you are the engine behind every great hire.
  • Creative Outbound Strategy: Design and execute outbound search tactics for niche technical talent. Use novel channels, campaigns, and pitch strategies to find and attract candidates who aren’t looking - yet.
  • Candidate Experience: Drive a high-touch, high-trust process that gives candidates confidence in our mission and excitement about our team. Every interaction should reflect the culture we’re building.
  • Hiring Team Partner: Coach and align with hiring managers to shape role definitions, interview loops, and evaluation rubrics. Run debriefs, drive alignment, and ensure every team member is trained to assess fairly and rigorously.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding: Own and refine systems that make day one seamless and day last respectful. You’ll build processes to set new hires up for success and help team members offboard with grace.
  • Recruiter Management: Manage external recruiters, agencies, and internal recruiting support staff when needed. Set clear expectations, provide feedback, and track output to ensure high ROI.
  • Future People Leader: Lay the foundation for broader People & Talent initiatives. As the company grows, you’ll help stand up functions like professional development, compliance, and HR operations.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of recruiting experience, including 2+ years focused on deeply technical roles (hardware, software, or aerospace/defense strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to independently close hard-to-fill roles in competitive markets.
  • Strong sourcing fundamentals and fluency in modern recruiting tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, Lever, ATS systems, etc.).
  • Compelling storyteller - can frame AnySignal’s mission, team, and impact in ways that land with technical candidates.
  • Excellent communicator - writes crisp outreach, runs structured calls, and navigates offer conversations with confidence.
  • Thrives in ambiguity - can build from scratch, iterate fast, and stay scrappy when needed.
  • U.S. Person per ITAR requirements.

Preferred Skills

  • Prior experience in a high-growth startup or new-space environment.
  • Exposure to HR functions beyond recruiting (onboarding, performance reviews, compliance, etc.).
  • Background recruiting for space, defense, or other hard-tech industries.

AnySignal values and fosters an inclusive, accessible environment, where all employees and customers feel respected, supported and able to participate. We welcome applications from: women, Aboriginal persons, persons with disabilities, ethnic minorities, visible minorities, veterans, people who identify as LGBTQIA2S+ and others who may contribute to diversification in our environment.

Should you have a need for accommodation, AnySignal will endeavor to meet your accommodation needs. At any stage of the recruitment and selection process you may make your needs for accommodation known through contacting our team, in confidence, by email to: [email protected]. What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
