TigerConnect transforms healthcare with the industry’s most widely adopted clinical collaboration platform – uniquely modernizing the way doctors, nurses, care teams, patients, and data connect. With solutions spanning care team communication, scheduling automation, alarm management and event notifications, nurse call, patient engagement and more, we accelerate productivity, reduce costs, and improve patient outcomes, safely and securely. More than 8,000 healthcare organizations trust us to deliver enterprise-ready solutions, making this possible with the right group of dedicated, thoughtful trailblazers. Today, private practice doctor’s offices, small and large hospice centers, and some of the largest healthcare organizations in the United States rely on TigerConnect. We’re a fun, hungry, smart, innovative group of eclectic people who are passionate about transforming the way clinical care teams work and communicate.

We are looking for a Lead Product Manager, Smart Room to own the strategy and roadmap for TigerConnect Smart Room, turning the patient room into a connected care setting. Interactive bedside TV, digital whiteboards and door signs, nurse call, alarm management, and virtual care all work together, orchestrated by our CareConduit workflow platform. This role is critical as health systems consolidate on EHR-native bedside tools, inpatient video becomes a primary entry point for smart room evaluations, and hospitals increasingly expect one partner to deliver hardware, software, and integration as a turnkey service. Your mandate is to make Smart Room the platform that completes the bedside experience around the EHR, not one more point solution competing for the screen.

What You Will Do

  • Own the vision, multi-year roadmap, and quarterly delivery plan across bedside TV and patient experience, digital whiteboards and door signs, nurse call assurance and service request workflows, alarm and alert routing, virtual care, and AI-powered patient experiences.
  • Define distinct, clearly bounded offerings for EHR-dominant accounts, including Epic, and mixed-EHR accounts, with packaging and messaging that fits each.
  • Make hard tradeoffs on what to build, defer, or retire, grounded in customer evidence, revenue impact, and engineering capacity.
  • Ensure every Smart Room investment strengthens CareConduit as the integration and workflow layer, positioning the product as a platform rather than a point solution.
  • Lead the product side of strategic partnerships with certified hardware, virtual care, and device partners, including requirements, joint roadmaps, integration design, and certification dependencies.
  • Run build, partner, and buy evaluations, including product due diligence on hardware reliability, supply chain, and lifecycle risk.
  • Translate EHR vendor ecosystem programs and certification requirements, such as Epic Toolbox, into clear product requirements and timelines.
  • Own the interoperability strategy, including HL7v2 for real-time clinical data and FHIR for modern EHR integration and faster implementations.
  • Lead consolidation of legacy integration paths onto CareConduit with a migration plan customers can adopt without disruption.
  • Define success metrics tied to outcomes health systems buy on, including HCAHPS responsiveness, nurse call response time, alarm burden, adoption, ROI, and usage reporting.
  • Engage directly with strategic and at-risk accounts to shape renewal offers, pilots, expansion proposals, and measurable outcome plans.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Design, Clinical Innovation, Solutions Consulting, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Business Development to bring well-sized initiatives into quarterly planning and communicate strategy, progress, and risk to executive leadership.

What You Bring

Must-Have:

  • 6+ years of product management experience, including at least 3 years building products for hospitals or health systems.
  • Experience shipping products that combine software, hardware, and third-party integrations in enterprise or hospital environments.
  • Working knowledge of HL7v2, FHIR, and EHR integration, including how products get implemented with hospital IT teams.
  • Track record leading technology partnerships with joint roadmaps and integration commitments.
  • Clear evidence of making hard prioritization calls and saying no.
  • Strong executive communication skills and the ability to lead without direct authority.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience in the Epic ecosystem, including Toolbox, MyChart Bedside, Epic integrations, or competing in Epic-dominant accounts.
  • Domain experience in smart room or interactive patient care, nurse call, alarm management, virtual nursing or inpatient video, or RTLS.
  • Familiarity with Android-based devices, mobile device management, and TV or set-top box control.
  • Experience with partner evaluation or M&A product due diligence.
  • Clinical or nursing informatics background.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
