In this role, you will:
- Own and govern global paid search strategies, analysis, optimization, and best practices.
- Drive in-house search automation and bidding strategy: scaling custom bid algorithms, value-based bidding, and next-generation automated campaign formats.
- Direct agency partners on tactical search execution, campaign buildouts, day-to-day pacing, and strict quality assurance standards across all regional and product accounts.
- Partner with Data Science to execute causal lift experiments (incrementality and attribution) and embed search data into enterprise MMM, MTA, and customer lifetime value models.
- Lead search forecasting and budget reallocations across product lines to maximize efficiency and capture high-intent demand.
- Evolve paid search strategies for AI Overviews, shifting SERP layouts, and conversational answer engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity to defend and expand high-intent nonbrand real estate.
- Collaborate with Ad Ops lead to define data resilience requirements, aligning first-party data capture and server-side tracking architectures under shifting privacy standards.
- Monitor auction insights, define aggressive brand defense strategies, and deploy automated counter-conquesting logic against market competitors.
- Direct ad copy experimentation, asset group strategy for AI-driven formats, and end-to-end message alignment from search query to landing page.
- Communicate search performance insights to executive leadership and collaborate with Product Marketing (PMM) and Web teams to align search capture with product roadmaps.
Your Background & Qualifications
Key Qualifications:
- Experience: 8+ years of Paid Search (SEM/PPC) experience in high-growth B2B SaaS or enterprise technology environments.
- Budget Authority: Proven track record of autonomously managing and forecasting multi-million-dollar annual search budgets at enterprise scale.
- Technical Direction: Demonstrated ability to define requirements and direct technical implementation/QA for Conversion APIs, offline conversion pipelines, custom attribution models, and value-based bidding architectures (without needing to write custom code yourself).
- Measurement & Experimentation: Expertise in causal experimentation (geo-lift, holdouts), attribution modeling (MMM), and tracking customer journeys across product-led Growth (PLG) and enterprise sales-assisted funnels.
- Agency & Stakeholder Leadership: Experience directing media agencies and effectively communicating performance narratives, trade-offs, and business cases to senior/executive leadership.
Preferred / Desirable:
- Working knowledge of SQL, BigQuery, Google Ads Scripts, or enterprise BI dashboards (Tableau, Looker).
- Hands-on familiarity with international search expansion and multi-lingual campaign governance.
