Leads the design, development, testing, and maintenance of full-stack applications using Java, Spring, React, databases, and APIs. Owns medium- to large-scale features through production, contributes to architecture, reviews code and designs, and improves observability, performance, reliability, and resiliency. Participates in incident response and root-cause analysis while mentoring engineers and collaborating across Product, Design, QA, and engineering teams.

Must Have:
- At least five years of software engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring.
- Experience with object-relational mapping frameworks.
- Experience building full-stack applications using React or a comparable frontend framework.
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Experience developing and consuming RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and cloud services.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack software applications.
- Lead medium- to large-scale features from design through production.
- Contribute to service and system architecture decisions.
- Develop production-ready code and participate in code and design reviews.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and engineering teams.
- Improve application observability, performance, reliability, and resiliency.
- Participate in incident response and root-cause analysis.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong understanding of client-server communication, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
- Knowledge of cloud-native development, stateless services, horizontal scaling, and observability.
- Strong SQL and database development experience.
- Ability to evaluate downstream impacts across interconnected systems.
- Ability to solve complex technical problems with limited guidance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Spring Boot and related Spring projects.
- Experience with AWS or another cloud platform.
- Experience with Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Kafka, Amazon Kinesis, or Amazon SNS/SQS.
- Experience in advertising technology or media-processing workflows.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or Amazon Q Developer.
