About the Role
As a Lead Information Systems Engineer, you'll provide superior tech support to the company in a complex environment while collaborating heavily with our external service providers. You‘ll work independently, anticipating and responding to the needs of the internal systems. Your tech-savvy skills will enable you to profile, build, procure, and install approved SW/HW, diagnose any emergent hardware and software ailments, and maintain all IT infrastructure and systems. This position is based in our SSF office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, build, operate, and optimize core IT systems across a variety of software stacks and platforms. This includes Linux, Windows, macOS, AWS, as well as SaaS applications (Azure AD, Intune/JAMF, GSuite, Confluence, JIRA, Slack, Zoom, etc.)
- Architect, design, install, maintain, and manage the equipment needed to provide WAN, Internet, LAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN networks cost-effectively; ensuring a high level of availability, flexibility, and network performance
- Partner with Facilities, Security, Workplace, etc. on office expansion and remodeling projects
- Perform day-to-day support and administration including installation, configuration, monitoring, documentation, and automation of infrastructure and corporate systems
- Build automation and tooling to assist with compliance and the ability to auto-remediate issues without end-user involvement.
- Provide Tier II/III support and troubleshooting for complex issues escalated from the Helpdesk
- Work with your peers as well as external parties to grow and evolve our current systems and tools, improving efficiency and collaboration across the whole organization
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
- 10+ years of IT system experience with a wide range of IT systems across MacOS, Windows, Linux, and on-prem & SaaS system application management including but not limited to GSuite, OKTA or Azure AD, Jira/Confluence, Slack, Confluence, JAMF/Kandji, etc.
- Strong experience with DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, and AD Group Policy.
- Experience with one or more programming languages relevant to scripting, automation, and interacting with APIs (Python, Bash, PowerShell, Perl, PHP, Ruby).
- Experience with managing VPN, telecommunications, VoIP, and video conferencing
- Strong time management and organization skills; able to prioritize multiple requests effectively and autonomously
- Displays a passion for improving systems, process-building, and documentation
- Comfort working in a high-growth, constantly changing environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to collaborate and work with others
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with EDR software (endpoint defense and response - Antivirus, Antimalware)
- Experience with email security
Compensation
We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, seeking to provide an open, flexible, and friendly work environment to empower employees and provide them with a platform to develop their long-term careers. A Summary of Benefits is available for all applicants. We offer a competitive package that includes base salary, bonus, and equity. The base pay range for this position is expected to be $140,000 to $180,000 annually; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on the market, job-related knowledge, skills and capabilities, and experience.
