Lead, Financial Systems & Strategy

This is a rare FP&A role — one where the work goes well beyond variance reporting and budget cycles. This role exists because financial systems architecture and reporting efficiency are both of the largest gaps and one of the highest-leverage investments the finance function could make. As the primary owner of Duetto's financial reporting platform and model, you'll own the infrastructure behind every number leadership and the board sees: the data model, the model architecture, and the AI-augmented workflows that make reporting fast and trustworthy. As with the rest of Duetto's finance team you'll be expected to bring AI into the workflow — using tools like Claude to automate reporting, accelerate close, and raise the analytical bar.

What Makes Us Different?

Duetto is the hospitality industry's leading revenue management platform, founded in 2012 by former Wynn Resorts executives who knew the industry needed better technology. We built the world's first Revenue & Profit Operating System — a suite of tools (GameChanger, ScoreBoard, BlockBuster, Advance and more) that goes beyond room pricing to give hotels, resorts and casinos a complete picture of their revenue and profitability. Trusted by clients ranging from independent boutique hotels to global chains, we've been named the #1 Revenue Management Software by HotelTechAwards four years running and the #1 Best Place to Work in Hotel Tech in 2025. Backed by GrowthCurve Capital since 2024, we're accelerating our investment in AI — and we're genuinely passionate about the industry we serve. We build products we're proud of, for customers we care about.

What You'll Be Doing

  • You'll own Duetto's FP&A systems architecture — driving the data centralization and infrastructure that consolidates data from NetSuite, Salesforce, and departmental sources into a single source of truth.
  • Own Duetto's core data model and platform governance in Abacum as it rolls out — architecting how department and consolidated views are structured, partnering with department analysts and the FP&A team on inputs and assumptions.
  • You'll architect and maintain the integrated financial model — P&L, cash flow, and the reforecast/budget engine — ensuring it scales across departments and initiatives.
  • Own the monthly and quarterly board/sponsor reporting package, translating department-level submissions into a single, defensible narrative for the CFO and board.
  • Build scenario and sensitivity analyses to support leadership decision-making around growth, investment, liquidity, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with Accounting on accelerating the monthly close process.
  • You'll own cash flow forecasting and covenant compliance monitoring — building the visibility that flags risk before it becomes a surprise.
  • Define how modern FP&A is built — deploying AI-augmented workflows and agents, and setting the standard for what an AI-first finance operations function looks like.
  • Own consolidated P&L variance analysis, partnering with FP&A team members to understand performance and trends across departments, and synthesize key drivers into departmental and company wide leadership-ready explanations.
  • You'll partner with R&D and G&A leaders to provide data-based strategic recommendations for efficient productivity and growth.

What We're Looking For

You may be a good fit if you have:

  • 6–10 years in FP&A or Financial Systems, with meaningful focus on executive reporting, financial processes, systems architecture, or data infrastructure in a SaaS environment
  • A genuine orientation toward AI-augmented work — you've already thought about how LLMs, automation, and prompt-driven workflows change what finance can produce, and you're looking for a mandate to build that way.
  • Demonstrated mastery of financial modelling and reporting — models that are accurate, scalable, and navigable by cross-functional audiences.
  • Deep fluency in financial systems architecture: ERP platforms (NetSuite or equivalent), and FP&A platforms (Abacum, Adaptive Insights, OneStream, Pigment, or equivalent).
  • Hands-on experience owning forecasting, scenario modeling, and covenant compliance.
  • Experience partnering and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to translate complex, multi-department data into a single, executive-level narrative

Strong candidates may also have:

  • Experience in a private equity-backed or high-growth SaaS B2B environment
  • Proficiency with Excel, Google Suite, NetSuite, and Salesforce in a finance context
  • Familiarity with data visualisation or BI tools — Tableau, Looker, or equivalent
  • Experience supporting SOX compliance or audit-readiness processes
  • Hospitality technology industry experience

Why Duetto?

  • Finance with genuine strategic influence. You'll own the infrastructure that determines whether leadership can trust the numbers — building the systems that make every other finance function possible.
  • AI is already in the workflow. This role explicitly expects you to bring AI into how finance gets done — automating consolidation, accelerating close, building prompt-driven processes. If you've been wanting to do this and haven't had the mandate, you'll have it here.
  • The problems are genuinely interesting. Multi-department consolidation and forecasting with real data complexity — the infrastructure challenges are foundational and the stakes are high.
  • A seat at the table. You'll be presenting variance analysis and insights directly to the CFO and board, and setting the technical direction for how Duetto's finance stack scales.
  • Growth-stage energy with market-leader credibility. Backed by GrowthCurve Capital since 2024, Duetto is accelerating — you'll be building the financial systems backbone during a period of genuine momentum.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
