TRM Labs provides blockchain analytics and AI solutions to help law enforcement and national security agencies, financial institutions, and cryptocurrency businesses detect, investigate, and disrupt crypto-related fraud and financial crime. TRM’s blockchain intelligence and AI platforms include solutions to trace the source and destination of funds, identify illicit activity, build cases, and construct an operating picture of threats. TRM is trusted by leading agencies and businesses worldwide who rely on TRM to enable a safer, more secure world for all.
As the Brand Design Director for TRM’s Go-to-Market team, you will be the principal creative force shaping our brand expression across every stage of the customer journey. Sitting at the intersection of strategy and individual contributor, you will own the visual identity for GTM and lead creative initiatives that elevate how we tell our story — across web, campaigns, product launches, events, and more.
This is a player–coach role: you'll roll up your sleeves to deliver high-impact design work while also driving systems, setting creative standards, and enabling others across the org to build beautifully and consistently. You’ll work closely with Marketing leadership to ensure design is not only high-quality but also a strategic growth lever for the business.
The impact you will have:
- Own and lead TRM’s GTM design strategy, partnering with the VP of Marketing and brand leadership to develop a cohesive, differentiated visual presence across marketing and growth channels.
- Deliver high-caliber assets across a wide range of formats — from landing pages to product launch creative, social campaigns, swag, events, decks, and executive content.
- Establish scalable design systems and processes (e.g. templates, component libraries, QA checklists) to increase consistency, speed, and quality across the marketing design lifecycle.
- Provide direction and oversight to freelance or contract talent, including brand designers, illustrators, and motion designers — setting clear briefs, reviewing work, and ensuring alignment with TRM's visual language.
- Serve as a cross-functional creative partner, collaborating with Product Marketing, Comms, Events, and Recruiting to ensure all outward-facing materials meet brand and business objectives.
- Champion a culture of creative excellence, fostering feedback loops, design critiques, and continuous improvement within the broader Marketing team.
What we’re looking for:
- 10+ years of experience in brand, marketing, or visual design, with a strong track record of leading creative work for high-growth tech companies or top-tier agencies.
- Experience owning and evolving a brand system across multiple channels and touchpoints.
- A strong portfolio showcasing campaigns, systems thinking, and creative leadership — not just individual execution.
- Expertise in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and other visual design tools. Motion/animation or basic video editing is a plus.
- Exceptional visual and conceptual storytelling skills; can translate complex ideas into compelling design.
- Proven experience leading projects end-to-end, from brief to final delivery — with cross-functional collaboration throughout.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and proactively identifying how design can drive strategic impact.
- Clear, confident communicator who can present and advocate for creative decisions with executive stakeholders.
About the Team:
- A 16-person global marketing team across Demand Gen, Regional Marketing, Product Marketing, and Brand that includes high-performing senior ICs and emerging leaders
- Strong async culture with collaborative rituals — including weekly sprint planning, shared dashboards, retrospectives, and performance reviews
- Culture strengths: analytical curiosity, clear communication, self-accountability, and high agency
- Core collaboration hours: 8am–12pm PST
- No on-call or weekend requirements
- Campaigns, insights, and ops work are tracked against shared sprints and team KPIs
