Job Description**This is a contract position that could become permanent over time**
We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer with strong expertise in Snowflake to lead our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Snowflake architecture, design, implementation, and optimization to drive our data warehouse initiatives.
Job Description
Lead the data engineering team to transform and migrate data into our Snowflake data warehouse
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and ensure the accuracy and completeness of data pipelines
Develop and implement best practices for Snowflake architecture, data modeling, and ETL processes
Work with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements
Continuously evaluate and improve our data engineering processes, tools, and technologies
Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
At least 5 years of experience in data engineering with 1-2 years leading a team
Strong knowledge of Snowflake architecture, design, and optimization techniques
Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Proficient in SQL, Python, and other programming languages.
Familiarity with data security and privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA (are a plus)
